I'm French so I went for a 2021 Renault Clio 5 Tce 90 with a 6-speed manual transmission. This is a very pleasing car to drive. The engine is fabulous, torquey and very economical with 6 Liters in average consumption (sorry, no MPG in France). The interior, even though it is almost the base trim, Zen but with options like fog lights or 4 electric windows, feels solid and well built for the kind of car it is. I would 100% recommend the Clio to anyone looking for a super-mini car because it is trully the best in class. And with higher trim levels, it feels like a premium car with soft materials everywhere in the rear of the cabin, including on the door panels. The infotainment system id very well made and wired Android Auto works smoothly. Us French, we know how to make good super-minis and this Corsa is basically French 😊😊

I've been driving for 55 years in the UK, Adrien, and out of the 17 cars I have owned,8 have been French. Part of the attraction was the comfort, with soft seats and compliant suspension. I currently have a Clio E tech which I love but my main gripe ( which in fairness applies to most cars in this segment) is that, for me, the seats are too firm. I am not sure why this should be. Perhaps it has something to do with manufacturer's (and reviewer's ) obsession with handling - even Renault,I by their own admission, have stiffened the suspension on the latest Clio which does slightly effect ride quality. Only Citroen seem to be bucking the trend with their 'comfort' seats and softer suspension.

Drove one, last year, for some 400 miles, travelling from Barcelona to Motorland for the first round of the WTCR/ETCR and, while it wasn’t a top of the line, I loved it. Easy to get used to it, pretty intuitive for what I want, and pretty economical. And style-wise, the Pug stands out immediately but the more I look at it, the less I like it. With the Corsa, it’s the opposite. And I can’t stand the two-storey dashboard of Peugeot…

I hired a brand new one the 130bhp version for the day whilst holidaying in Ireland just before Christmas and I thought it was a cracking car. I stand at 6'4" and had no comfort issues at the end of my time with the car although nobody could sit behind me except a small child.

I’ve got a 1.2 turbo hire car of this whilst my 1L vetec civic is in the garage. Let me tell you, the 1L Honda is far quicker, far more sporty and feels more expensive. The Corsa engine to me is a pig unless you rev it off limits, 5 gear manual I’ve got on hire, need to drop to 4th to overtake lorries, 5th is dead, whereas my civic will pull in 6th gear. To me these are an excellent first car as you can’t go quick enough to crash. Sound system is good, interior is cheap.

I've had a Corsa Griffin 1.2 turbo for a year, and love it. Fun to drive, comfortable, reasonable fuel economy, and plenty of toys i.e. parking sensors, heated seats & steering wheel, rear view camera, electric folding mirrors, plus others. I had a 1.2 non turbo as a courtesy car when mine was in for service & the difference in power is very noticeable.

According to EuroNcap's test results, the Corsa is safer in a car crash than the Peugeot 208, whose instrument panel turns out to be dangerous for the safety of the passengers in an accident. And the Indicators on Peugeot 208 with LED headlights are very difficult to see... dangerous... And Corsa is also available with Matrix... headlights... The Corsa also has other seats in the expensive models and is a much more skilfully executed design than the Peugeot 208, which has several serious design flaws in the design from behind and in profile from the side. But if you only go for a "general impression" and don't look at the details... and stop and think... you will not see these errors. In addition, the Corsa has lower air resistance and slightly lower weight, which gives a longer range for the electric car than the Peugeot e-208. Although the official figure says the opposite, but that figure is completely wrong. The Corsa is therefore a better car than the Peugeot 208.

As a Polo owner, I had the great fortune to drive a Corsa on a recent trip to the Amalfi Coast and I must say, I quite enjoyed it! Great seats, sporty seating position, and overall a pleasurable feeling. The Polo, mind you, still feels a class above but I fully understand why the Corsa is so darn popular. On a side note, on my Italian drive, Corsas on the roads outnumbered 208's by a ratio of 50:1 (!)

Own a 22 Nav which is well equipped and I really enjoy it, though 2 comments - 1) The rear passenger area has no light, so when getting in the back at night you have to fumble for the seat belt anchors, 2) If you use the seat warmers and don't switch them off at the end of the journey, switching the engine off doesn't switch them off, so when you restart the car the seat heaters are still on.

@@Daveodaddeo101 unfortunately I've had a Vauxhall and will never buy another! I initially fell in love with the shape and the drive, smooth engine. Lasted all of a week when it broke down, battery had lost so much charge from driving around the corner? Garage did nothing. Then coil packs failed, then issues with the gearbox. The garage was useless, only positive we got a courtesy car. It wasn't a new car when we bought it so couldn't reject it even though we tried several times, not fit for purpose. after five long years of ownership and only approx 10k miles we got rid just before the bulkhead failed!!!! Hmmm... I think you're be a tad disingenuous with your description of MPG figures for the Corsa versus the Polo... which might therefore incorrectly dissuade a potential buyer from considering the Vauxhall. You were driving the 8-speed automatic Corsa, which, indeed does mid / late-40s mpg, yet you were quoting non-comparable manual-gearbox figures for the Polo which, yes, does over 50mpg. In fact, your own website reviews on those 2 cars - both with manual gearboxes - states that they will both achieve around 50mpg 'real-world'.

I don’t get it. I’ve been the unfortunate owner of an e-Corsa for the last 3 years and it has been a nightmare. The small battery - that was my fault, I should have known better but the amount of electrical problems it’s had - that’s all Vauxhall. Constantly in the garage, the key constantly looses link with the vehicle and it won’t open, always blinks and twitches with random dash lights coming on and going off. Lights randomly stop working, screens freeze. I could go on.. the petrol version of this that I get from the garage when it goes in to have issues resolved - it’s just horrible? Huge, ugly gear stick, sounds like a diesel and the drive is just horrible. The A pillars also mean that there is a huge blind spot when u pull out of a non standard junction, I even nearly missed a bus once in the blind spot - I kid you not. The Corsa used to be a nice small sporty car, this thing - come on… it’s the size of an Astra, and it’s just horrible.
