When I first saw that Corsa I thought it was a new Astra. Corsa now bigger than the 90s Astra!

A bit of a mismatch comparison, one auto the other manual, one with 100hp the other 155 and the Fiesta is a mild hybrid?

The Corsa is selling better because of the change in style and probably better discounts on price. The fiesta, even though it's a better car, still looks the same as before, whereas the drastic change of the Corsa attracts a lot more attention

How can you compare an auto gearbox, and a manual, plus an ST line X edition to a mid range Corsa and then be a fair comparison? Sorry but you are not comparing like for like!!

Love the Corsa passed my test in it in 2013 great car. Drove the latest corsa and it was lovely drive!

I have a new Corsa (sri Premium with the 100bhp engine) and I used a Fiesta ST Line as a courtesy car when my Corsa was getting repaired (some old woman pulled out of a road straight in front of me). My personal opinion was that the Corsa is a much better car to drive. Before getting the Corsa I was deciding between that and a Fiesta and I'm glad I went with the Corsa.

Having driven both , both were 2020 yr cars brand new at the time, both drove nice, fiesta seemed a tad noisier inside, but handled better than the corsa, however being over 6ft tall the fiesta was easier to get in and out of , the corsa was more difficult for me, if I was to buy one it’d be more likely the fiesta on space for driver , and slightly sharper handling, but for a slightly smother ride it’d be corsa , however I think they’re both nice cars, my daily driver is a Mondeo and the wife’s car is an Astra, I guess you compare to what you’re used too as well.

My sister owns the previous gen Fiesta and I still can't get used to fast steering and the way over assisted brakes. I feel relaxed driving the Corsa.

On the Corsa’s climate control adjustment, just use the auto function. In 15 years of owning various brands of cars with climate control or dual control. I’ve generally not once used anything other than the Auto function…. If it’s a good system then out side of adjusting the temperature a few degrees here or there on hotter or colder days there’s no need to interfere with the Auto function in any way…. Even on an electric car, just use the app to preheat or pre cool the car and again just use the Auto function

Ford have got complacent with the Fiesta I think. Its no wonder its slipping down the sales charts. The replacement will need to be much more bold and revolutionary.

At last! - Rebecca gets to review some cars, not the usual interminably boring string of SUV's - and she does her usual excellent job - best car reviewer on the net. I owned the previous versions of both the Fiesta and Corsa, and Rebecca is spot on - they are both very good, but the big difference is in the steering - the Corsa's is far too light - the Fiesta's is spot-on. It's a shame, it spoils the Corsa on the open road. I've got an Ibiza now - better than you might think, but not as good as the Fiesta.

I have a 20 Plate Fiesta Trend and it's a great little car for my needs. When it was damaged at work last year they gave me a Corsa as a courtesy car, I hated the damn thing it was like driving a go kart!

Was going to get my son a fiesta for his first car but he wanted the Seat Ibiza 1 litre turbo. I borrow it when he lets me because it is one of the most fun cars I have ever driven. Would go for the Fiesta if it was only a choice between these two.

Corsa looks so much sharper and more appealing than the Fiesta. Thinks that’s the first time I’ve rated a Vauxhall over a Ford.

Its much cheaper to lease a corsa than a fiesta...that might have something to do with it...

Always a pleasure to have your thoughts (especially on car dynamics). :D Judging by your reactions, the Fiesta is very enjoyable to drive (without putting my licence in danger). I hope you'll make a video about the Fiesta ST soon. When I tried a Fiesta (ST-Line), I didn't like the 1.0 Ecoboost : I found it rough and it didn't seemed keen to rev past 5500rpm. However, the rest of the car is good : the ergonomics are spot on (driving position, seats, pedal and gear lever placement), visibility is good, materials are good, especially on the touch points (steering wheel, gearknob, handbrake), the Full LED headlights are excellent (bright with a very good range) and the chassis is great (great grip, playful within the speed limits, yet predictable and comfortable enough for me). I must try a Fiesta ST (The 1.5 Ecoboost felt good in a Focus, so in a Fiesta, it must be great). Keep doing what you're doing. P.S. : Thanks to the Cargurus channel, good work. :)

Rebeca has improved herself more than these two cars. Rebeca HP (high performance ) is getting up.

My missus has a 2018 Fiesta Ecoboost Auto, and I agree the Fiesta is great to drive, a proper drivers car, and I agree it's small for over 6ft, I'm only 6.1 but I cannot get in if I'm wearing a coat and without it's a snug fit but much better once in, the width legroom for the driver isn't so great where your left knee gets a jabbing from the center console but otherwise the driving position is comfy, and if you're tall that center armrest is pointless. An annoying complaint that I hope they haven't continued in the latest cars is the mobile phone resting place being so small in the console, even a Galaxy S7 only just squeezes in there without any case on, and there's a symbol showing charging place but there isn't one as it's just a rubber mat. As for the Hybrid part I would steer clear, it's just a poor gimmick because Ford are being stubborn about making them full EV.

Just picked up a hire car, a new Corsa was shocked at how good it is. For a small car, its very quiet, nice inside, but like all small cars with tiny engines the engine really needs to be kept singing to get the most out of it. But a very surprising little car.

Vauxhall Corsa have MT (manual transmission) model. Why don't use MT model compare with Ford Fiesta?

I know reviewers have to take what they're given sometimes but why do a driving comparison between a low output auto in the Corsa and put it up against a high output sport spec manual. If it was the other way around this review would read very differently!

Looks wise fiesta everytime in my opinion, would need to drive them for final opinion

8:53 It's funny how people still call this "little cars". But these cars are bigger than the 1st gen Ford Focus and older Astra's.

The corsa design is good. But the puretech Peugeot engines with that crappy belt in oil... New fiestas now have chain driven camshafts. Also, had fun with my ST line against a Peugeot 208. Peugeot is great on bends, but my fiesta had more power and distanced itself from the Peugeot with the same engine these corsa use

test drove and ordered the 1.2 130 ultimate Corsa today! bright red black roof ! smashing little car to drive! and has all the kit of much larger cars!!

Another great review/comparison. Think I would have to take the Fiesta but it's good to see Vauxhall in the game again with a competitive product. The ST versions has to be the bargain performance car of Britain. Slightly better looking than the Corsa too.

4:25 Stupid change of design removing airflow control dials which can be easily adjusted whilst driving! Glad I’ve just bought 2019 model instead of newer one if that’s how design is going…

I like the Fiesta so much more than the Corsa. No idea why people are buying the Corsa like they are.

I prefer larger cars but if I had to choose one of these, I'd go for the fiesta. It looks nicer and seems more practical out of the two.

I've just been through this process of choosing a car. Narrowed it down to 4 including these two. Fiesta is good but dated inside and out in comparison. It handles well though but ultimately it came down to the Corsa and Polo and the Corsa got my order.

The Corsa is a Peugeot in all but name! Still prefer my Corsa E.

I recently bought a 10 year old Fiesta and Iove it. For a cheap car it’s so much fun to drive, especially threading it though country b-roads with that wonderfully sharp steering. I do think the new models are beginning to look dated though - the Corsa looks much more fresh and modern here, even if it’ll never touch Ford for driving dynamics.

I love how 100 bhp in a super mini is now barely acceptable. She’s obviously never driven a 90s Fiesta, which were around 60 bhp until the 1.25 Zetec engines were introduced and changed everything.

Opel seems like halfsize bigger car

Fiesta is fun and the electric assistance on acceleration is great. Who would have thought you could get that from a 1 litre engine?

Echoing Iffit, hardly a valid comparison on the ‘road’ element, given the differences in specification, horsepower, suspension tune, etc. And a little specious to discount these when they’ve already contributed to the overall impression. Why didn’t you use the sportier Corsa SRI 130, which matches performance of the ST 155 (and exceeds the directly comparable ST 125) or alternatively, the equivalent Fiesta Titanium X 100?

I've got 130,000 miles out of my Fiesta with few big bills. Great little car.

Had a new corsa as a courtesy car for a week, my opinion it has total sex appeal ,driving was an absolute pleasure, where as fiesta still pure boy racer, my thoughts anyway.

Great video, I don´t know what´s wrong with Ford but they´re losing ground everywhere, at least Opel is selling Corsa and it seems Mokka very well. Here in Spain out of the top ten, unthinkable a few years ago, I hope they react soon, I remember my first car, a 1989 Fiesta, I loved it. And although it has nothing to do with cars you have a very nice accent , very good exercise for those like me trying to improve their English. Thanks|

It makes me sad that Ford no longer sells the Fiesta in the US because apparently all we want is boring crossovers. It also makes me sad that the Corsa is now a Peugeot. However, it makes me happy to see Rebecca is still lovely. 😀

First time ever I'm actually considering buying a vauxhall corsa or Astra. Just had enough of being ripped off by the German manufacturers.

The Corsa looks way better. The Fiesta seriously needs a completely new model.

Ford prioritised their productions runs for the vans and the higher end models like the Puma given the chip shortage. That's the only reason the Fiesta sank in sales. The Corsa has never been the better car

I’ve had the corsa over a year now, a lot of small faults with it, stop/start does not work, can’t turn the radio off, a/c on every time you start the car, dashboard lights resemble flashing Christmas tree lights, dimming/flashing all day long. Vauxhall are not interested in fixing anything.

I choose Fiesta

For me the Ford wins. If the Corsa where made to look like the new Mokka/ Astra outside and inside I would go for the Corsa. As of now tho the Fiesta looks and drives better 🙂
