What is missing for me is the « new is not always the best »… the « speaker, or the amplifier of the year » may not be as good as one build 3 years ago! It would interesting to keep a tracking of the current products vs the new ones…

There is music on CDs that is not available online. For example box sets that have concert CDs etc. so another reason to own some music. I like streaming and playing CDs. Don’t hate based on a date. Try to appreciate. Experience rocks!

So glad high end SACD players are still being made. Love that format since 1999. Thank you Sony! I hope Sony comes out with some new ES players in 2024. Until then, Marantz and Denon are great, too. Was always baffled by people not hearing the difference from redbook. They usually used universal players.

You guys have not tested the KEF R Meta series yet right. Waiting eagerly for that. Hope you get to do multiple products from that lineup. R3 Meta(Bookshelves), R6 Meta(LCR), R7 and R11 Meta(Towers) All are crazy offerings. Hope you guys get to listen and test all of those.

Same with the MartinLogan Motion F200. That was a monster release this year. Lots of accurate bass with big SPL and that sweet AMT tweeter.

I haven't completed my bench tests of the RN2000a but based on the internal guts, I suspect it will be more powerful for low impedance loads. Stay tuned....

i fall in that 1% for when i want to watch TV with my UST projector and do not want to power up my subwoofers dedicated power 14k amp to power up 2x18s but rather just use the woofers on my tower speakers

The MXN10 uses a ESS SABRE ES9033Q DAC chip which is quite competent and a significant step up from Wolfson DAC chips

Hi, How does the AVM90 compered with the Storm ( regardless of the price on a 9.4.6 only for movies ). since you have both :)

The advantages of the Storm are: digital outputs for active speakers, more advanced bass management and LFE Routing, manual PEQ tuning, DIRAC, more speaker layout options including dual side surrounds. If you don't need these features, save your money and get the Anthem. It's easier set up, audiophile grade DACs and cool TFT display makes it hard to beat.

Hang on fellas. No offense please. How are the Martin Logan’s better than the BMR HT towers? The measurements are much better on the BMR HT series. Not to mention you guys rated the BMR HTs with a higher score on your reviews than the Martin Logan’s.

Martinlogans are a fullrange tower thr BMRs are not. MLs sound better than they measure, and they are gorgeous. If you have subs, go with the BMRs. Both are great choices. As for ratings, different reviewers....

So when you buy a pair of speakers and maybe your wife or friends are listening and commenting. Do you say I was going to get another pair that sounded much better But these measured better. Then hand out everyone a copy of the graphs

okay so sealed subwoofers vs ported subwoofers, so the sealed subs can get down to single digit freq but a ported cant? but the ported sub would have much more output with less power than a sealed sub?

To bad monoprice ceased their EU operations. I’m paying more for shipping than a pair of T5’s or the SW15, they made themselves obsolete in the EU because of shipping costs.

Note about the AVM 90 (that I have)… it canot read DSD audio files… it is a shame at this price… but… great processor…

😂 The WORST speakers for cat owners are Vandersteens. From the Stereophile review “Cat owners should be warned that of all the speakers that have been through my house, the 1Bs were the most alluring to Muddy and his baby sister Eartha, who joined forces to pretty much totally scratch the hell out of both speakers' grillecloths. I finally gave up trying to keep them from incessantly clawing at the Vandersteens, but the ravaged Vandersocks had no adverse effect on the sound of the 1Bs. (Of course, the speakers now didn't exactly look like candidates for an Audio/Video Interiors photo spread, either.”

I love Gene's outlook on the visuals of speakers and how we are in fact Very visual creatures, and he is correct that if the speaker looks like crap, the enjoyment does go down. That said, would you say the Diamonds by B&W are on par with the Focals in terms of its Versatility (Music and Movies) or Better?? Thank you!

Arcam is an advertiser as well as Audio Advice that sells their brand. We did review the Arcam A25, mostly favorably, and pointed things out in our test bench report no other KZfaq channel is capable of doing despite your implication in this rude post. You’re a villain, don’t be so happy, YAMAHA’s design is controversial, I agree, but no one can beat the sound of their receivers. Marantz, Denon, Onkyo, Anthem go to bed quietly. There are no better receivers than Yamaha, and there won’t be any, believe me. Yamaha best of the best

Little too rich for my blood. Average price ~$4900, and if the 4 items for $500 or less are excluded, average jumps to $6300. "Hey honey, I need a new AVR, a sub and a some speakers and it'll cost less than $20 grand!" I wish. I guess you cater to a different audience...

ты злодей не радуйся так сильно, дизайн YAMAHA спорный согласен но звук их ресиверов никто не способен переиграть. marantz, denon, onkyo, anthem идут тихо спать. Лучше ямахи нет и не будет ресиверов уж поверьте мне. Yamaha best of the best
