This is our 2023 Automated Turbosawmill model.
Standard with the machine:
Auto lever feed. Auto blade swing. Taper adjustment. Foot leveling. Weather board attachment. New large dials for sizing actuation. Jockey wheels. Double cut capable. One man operation. Available in 10" and 12" cuts.
Accessories available:
Digital sizing. 12v on board charging. Slabbing carriages; both to suit chainsaw and the 13hp Honda engine. Dolly transport kit. Planer blade. Board return. Center leg. Beam extensions.

The beauty is that the log does not need turned. This mill can custom cut any dimension within its parameter for each log either individually or en masse. The log is not true, while the machine remains true once it is properly adjusted. The sawyer needs to pay attention to the cut, but for the most part there is no need for continued adjustment. Bandmills cannot keep up with the production of one of these swing blades. The only thing faster is a twin blade or three blade setup. Two or three blades are fine if you want mass production of a given dimension. Some of those systems are adjustable, but the price goes up with the system of adjustment. Manual, versus electronic.

Actually, twin blades are an earlier technology and cannot deal with tension in the log, so you are limited to what is achievable. They must cut as an example 6" x 10" in a single pass, blades splay out when they get hot. They must also return empty before attacking the next cut. It's a wasted run.

These machines seem to be geared toward your hardwood cutting, exotic woods etc... pretty much quarter sawing correct? How would this compare in productivity vs my headrig sawmill?

Quarter sawing, flat sawing, double cutting, weather boards, slabbing, big logs, little logs, hard and softwood. It's a very versatile machine that you can take to the logs. Not sure how it compares to your head saw, but you don't have to re edge boards.

You can slab live edge with our slabber attachment, cut up to 24" wide with the 12" swingblade

Ok for making lumber, but its not going to cut you some nice large slabs for tables or counter tops..

We have a slabber attachment for this that can cut up to 1.6m, you can also produce 1 x any width slab per log by flipping it. You can also double cut wide boards up to 24" wide...

If that cable broke the whole saw would fly into the operator.

No, we have a patented system that, should the cable break it moves away from the operator. Also no one should be positioned in front of the cutting head, this isn't a carriage system so normally the blade sits tucked behind the beam.

@@D-B-Cooper no one should be under the beam where the log is, it's also remote operated which adds safety. Also consider how a chainsaw works. Just for thought. Is woodworking machinery inherently dangerous? Yes it is. Operate with CARE - it's designed to cut.
