Having qualified into the locals and performing better than I had expected to, it was now time to compete in the Regional Finals!

'These are rental karts. not fully prepared race karts' is so true. Some races you just end up with a less performant one, and you can't keep up the pace even though your line is perfect and you're not making mistakes. You did amazing though, well done 👏

Yeah but they test them and try get as equal as possible and they show u the lap times of each kart and remove the slower ones but not all can be perfect 🤷🏽

great video mate (still some issues with voice over at times, not all the time unless just me?) and great effort getting to this stage, you could have had a bit more luck on the day bit thats the way things go isnt it.. back at them next year rob!! im entering next year for the first time with the aim of making it to regionals... but who knows.. maybe ill see you at warrington :P

Don’t know what’s worse, being in the races themselves or watching them back and seeing all the errors I made 🤦🏼‍♂️ Some great racing with you mate, sorry again for heat 1!! Edit- feel like I need to emphasize how slow and understeer-y kart 18 was. I still have nightmares about it

It's amazing how much more skill you see going from locals to regionals, still a valiant effort from yourself Rob to get yourself into the grand final! I'm sure next year you'll be fighting up the grid and hopefully fighting for a place in Warrington 😁

I was in that kart with You for every lap of that final mate! Any chance You'll be heading to the final to watch? Charlie and I may be heading down so he can see some racing for himself and get some advice from professionals like Yourself. Congrats on Your first year! If I can get my fitness levels up I may consider entering myself one day! Great drive mate!

Unfortunately I now have a medical appointment on the 12th (yeah, on a Sunday I know! 😯) so won't be able to head down to watch the finals. Thanks though! 👍

lots of things at 32:17 would prevent you from making this work. cutting lanes that hard uphill and having to out brake the driver only would bogg you both down and allow others to drive past. Otherwise solid runs for a first timer. watch everything back and see where you can work on and comeback stronger.
