I'm digging your videos! You have way more restraint than I do. I have raced dirt cars, Baja trucks, road raced motorcycles and go karts but by lap 10-20 im usually trying to wring its neck. I totally get why when you have that much time and $ in it and its only a friendly track day. I think an in-depth video about setup would be interesting. Explaining what all the adjustments like trackbar, wedge, spring rates, tire pressure etc do and feel like in the car or how setups change for different tracks.

Carolina Motorsports Park! I know every turn there. I ran five events there with local SCCA and finished my required number of races to get my competition license. I didn't get to run there as much as I would have liked. Also I noticed Ray Evernham's Ghost Machine. That thing is bad fast! Met him several times at Road Atlanta during the Mitty which is happening this week end. I do not race any more and sold my car and equipment. Got too expensive and hard on an old man! GG!

Have you thought about getting some purpose-built ramp extensions? We used RaceRamps extensively at the road race shop where I used to work, not just for the trailer but on a daily basis for getting cars onto our 4 post alignment rack, and they're a huge quality of life upgrade over homemade wood options, especially loading and unloading solo. They're pricey for what they are but probably a drop in the bucket compared to other costs of running these cars.

I've purchased two separate sets in my lifetime, and both have failed. One set went soft after a couple of months' use, and the second set had the black rubber coating delaminate from the foam in less than a month. It's not something I would pay $500 for ever again. Although your experience may vary from mine, I appreciate your input.

@@stockcarsurplus Dang, that's a shame to hear. I wonder if maybe it's down to climate, we were in Southern California where humidity is basically nonexistent and I could see that being a big factor.

Great video as always! Noticed you checked the throttle linkage at full throttle after putting the air cleaner on. My friend had a 70 Buick GS and the throttle got stuck at full throttle after we put the air cleaner on. We almost went head on into a wall! I will always remember that.

I live in heath springs. Maybe 30 mins from CMP. I have been a couple times to see other racing events. My love is stock cars though. Is this just invitations for the racers or can I get in the gate and watch the next time yall make this happen? Really enjoy your videos. Keep them coming please.

Danny how’s it going? Let me apologize for just now commenting on this awesome video a week late.. I like to sit back relax and watch your videos two to three times before posting. also my family and I are still in the process of moving into our new home, so time has been limited.. The video is great!! Truck sounds awesome on the surround sound. The vintage cars you showed in the garage are in incredible especially the Jeff Gordon car.. Question on your KBM truck, were you able to acquire that straight from KBM? Or was that through a general auction? Thanks, Bryant.

How do you find it on a track ? Have you changed much to adapt it? I want one to do some racing with but I’m worried it’s not meant for it and you essentially have to change the entire car to adapt it to a track. Is that right? Epic video man thank you

Was there a speed limit this day? Just wondering, not trying to be smart. Just didn’t seem like anyone was pushing them or even going fast. Great videos, love the channel.

I'm glad you enjoy the videos, Jayson! There's no speed limit at our track days. The cameras don't actually convey the speeds very well. CMP is not a very high-speed track like Watkins Glen but I ran in the mid to high 130's.

I’m in Australia and some smaller tracks do have speed limits at times because they might not have the full safety crews there to deal with higher speed incidents. I really like NASCAR and have followed it since the mid 80’s. Coverage here back then was very very limited. But thanks for the internet and sports channels we get everything now. I love seeing older cars that are no longer used being prepped and looked after by people such as yourself. I wish my shed was as meticulous as yours. Credit to you. I’m new to your channel but did you happen to work for teams in the past?
