In this video Danny is taking us behind the scenes as he prepares for a few parade laps around North Wilkseboro Speedway prior to the 2023 NASCAR All Star Race !

Great event and I love to see the old vintage iron out there. I know from personal experience race cars do not like parades for very long. The want to go fast and will overheat if possible. I gotta get to North Wilkesboro sometime before it disappears for good.

I don’t believe North Wilkesboro will go away soon, after NASCAR poured millions into it! A few years ago, I would’ve said the same thing like you, but after Dale Jr. made the excellent marketing move to laserscan the track for iRacing the interest exploded, since it was the first “vintage” track to be introduced in iracing! With the matching Gen 3 and 4 cars in iRacing it guarantees fun and even interesting to watch races. That motivated NASCAR to bring back the track since their popularity is dwindling and they need to make bold moves to gather more interest again. The Bristol dirt race and North Wilkesboro where great moves I personally thought NASCAR wouldn’t dare, but boy am I glad they did. I won’t say to much of what I think of the Next Gen car and it’s transmission, but if they now develop a better more traditional but safe car, don’t restrict the horsepower rating so much (we should have at least 750hp on certain courses!) and make it visually more appealing/interesting they could get much more followers again. Oh and Garage56 at Le Mans also was a great publicity stunt that I really enjoyed!

It was cool that they allowed us to drive around the track on the public roads, the fans were awesome!

If mobile 1 has a event they should call you to take your tuck to a show or maybe contact them to do something for your trailer and a little sponsorship? You never know till you ask .

You're truck was looking good out there. The ride to the track was sweet. I remember standing on the backstretch where you left the track getting autographs from the drivers when the race was over for years before the track closed down.. Thats the way all of them left out afterwards. I sure hope they add North Wilkesboro back on the schedule. I tell you what that Coca Cola #14 looks Badass. I also enjoyed seeing the #90 Truxmore Torino. Appreciate the video. I know you had a great time.

Awesome video!! That’s bad ass the way they let you guys go ripping through the neighborhoods.. I can only imagine coming out on my front porch watching Stock Cars ripping through the streets!! 👍👍 Thanks for sharing those vintage cars look and sound awesome.. Time for the Supra..
