This is a rare bike because their description of the bike on their website is actually correct and not overselling the bike.
So, I just copy/pasted from their website:

I've been wanting a rocky mountain for years. I couldn't decide between the soul and the fusion 10 but the more I think about it, the fusion 30 would suit me comfortably. I didn't like the fusion 30 colour lineup at first but this black beige and gold color is kind of growing on me.

Thanks for the review, I would have liked a word or two on the gear shifting… thumb/thumb or thumb/finger. I just had my 2017 RM Fusion stolen 😢 and I had just upgraded with Box9 etc. and previously replaced forks and added SQlab handlebars…very sad. This does look like the replacement bike though, thanks for the vid! 👍🏼

Great review....Thank you. I live in Seattle but came home to Ontario for the summer and wanted something I could use in the desert riding single-track and exploring here in Central Ontario. I watched your video and bought this exacted bike. I was looking at the Soul 20 and the Fusion 40.

Bike Bros, Going to pick up a Fusion 30 and am a classic tweener as far as size/fit are concerned and would like some input and advice. I'm 66.5" (so 5'6" and a half) I wear a 32x30 pant (so about a 30" inseam) On the Rocky website, this puts me on the upper end of the small and the lowest end of the medium. This bike will primarily be used for riding to work and just goofy around the tiny town I live in. Small or Medium?

I'd personally size up. If you have a chance to test ride both that's obviously the best solution but having seen a number of people in your situation, sizing up has been the most common outcome.

I just got one and the brakes seem a little soft. Would you recommend an upgrade to 180mm disks with metallic pads?

Not a bad idea going with bigger rotors. Also, make sure your brake pads are bedded in properly (meaning that you get up to speed then use both brakes to slow down as fast as possible - not to a complete stop - repeat about 20 times - this is what you do with brand new pads/rotors to set them up for best braking). If it is actual "softness" you're feeling, stand the bike vertically on the rear wheel and squeeze the brake levers repeatedly - if one of the levers develops a longer pull then that indicates there's air in the brake lines so you want to get a quick bleed done - the shop you bought from should do that as part of their service. I'd personally leave the metallic pads as a last resort - just make sure if you buy larger rotors that they're compatible with metallic pads. Also, if not set up like this already, move your levers inboard from your grips so you're not crushing your second knuckle when squeezing the lever.
