The 2023 Ski-Doo Trail Snowmobile lineup ushers in the latest on-snow experience totally centered around the rider. The new REV Gen5 platform connects riders to the ride in new, intuitive ways that enhance every aspect of the adventure. We’re also bringing more riders to the trail in 2023 with new models designed to give riders of every size and experience level a way to get a taste of That Ski-Doo Feeling.

Thoughts: Anyone critiquing the presenters is being shallow. I like the fact that they have real BRP people, not actors. They’re reading from a prompter, and this isn’t their real job - I think they did great. Ski Doo styling has never appealed to me, but there’s no denying how good their sleds are. I also think they do a great job with accessories. The big new screen looks really good. Will it be worthy as a competitor to Ride Command? I doubt it, but well done, Ski Doo. Lastly, can someone please put a freaking windshield on a trail sled? Overall, congrats on the lineup, Ski Doo.

I like the MXZ Blizzard.... I'm a Old School Ski-doo TNT and Blizzard fanatic since 1971... the time the Sno Pro Sleds was born.. but my favorite still the Ski-doo Blizzard Sno-Pro 1974 triples Yvon Duhamel Racers and RV 340 1977 and Blizzard 7500 1979. My first Sled was Ski-doo Skandic 1971....

Great job on the Blizzard - Nicely spec'd and a great shock package! I am excited for my 2023 XRS 850 with Smart Shox and 10.25" gauge to arrive. Looks like you nailed the LED lighting as well!

I wanna say nice job to you two for the presentation on all the machines! as much as i'm not really a fan of thenewer styling on the G5 (the headlights on the mountain sleds mostly) you guys have put lots of work into these and these will definitely be awesome machines. Congrats to you all and good luck in the future

this is first year since 1984 I never had a skidoo cause I sold mine in the spring and spring check one as usual on 11 feb they called and your sled is in yea winter over and buy a trail pass for 2 weeks good job brp

Bring back the fan cooled sleds. The liquid-cooled engines are useless for late season riding when there’s still lots of snow but it’s too icy for cooling. A fanner with a set of scratchers can ride on for several more weeks in a season that seems to be getting shorter every year. Fan cooled sleds were also more affordable. Fewer and fewer people are going to be willing to spend $15K-$20K on a toy they can only use for a handful of weekends.

Fanners are too thirsty.. And if you need better cooling, just add the radiator kit.

Wanna bring back carburetors too? I mean that is like backwards evolution. Sure you can ride longer, but how much fun is it to ride through slush and hard packed snow.

I can drive down main street in july with my 900 ace, it wont overheat and it will get the same mileage as my 1/2 ton. Fanners are a thing of the past. As far as a short season and $$. I can see that but not a concern in the north.

Do any of these sleds have recoil starters as backups? If not, what is the rationale?

Probably no recoil. The etec engines don’t have issues starting so even if the electric start fails the emergency rope on the clutch gets them going in a couple pulls.

I would NEVER buy a sled without a recoil back up. Anything can fail.

@@coldairbuick For the second time: the emergency rope will start it on the clutch! A friend of mine was riding his e-start Etec for two weeks without battery and no recoil... He started it on the clutch like 50 times, and not once did it fail to start on the first pull.

@@coldairbuick my 2016 summit only has E-start and the only time i've ever had trouble is when it was too cold. in those situations i use the rope on the clutch or boost it

120's and 200's made by Arctic Cat with different plastic for BRP.... priceless. Cat will soon build the 400 mid size sleds for BRP as well. They solid units so I dont blame BRP for out sourcing.

@Mason Wing if they would have atleast put smart shocks I probably would have snow checked it but know I'll probably wait till the 2024 or hopefully a mid year hoping for a gen 5 backcountry 850 turbo r with smart shocks

Great question. We've reduced the power of the Rotax 600 EFI engine in the Neo and Neo+ models to offer a less intimidating experience for novice riders.

I'm hoping these have some potential for tuning. These seem like a great budget sled for someone looking to buy new even as a bit older of a rider so if we're lucky and there's any sort of tuning we can do to get more power these might really be a hit

Cat must have been onto something with the ZR 120, 200, and their Blast models and Ski-Doo saw the potential in these segments and released their own machines to compete with Cat. I bleed green but man... they do need some new lifeblood in their full-sized lineup. Doo and Polaris have been stepping it up big time. It's going to be the 20th anniversary of the release of the Firecat F7...Cat needs to come out with this generation's F7-something that will grab attention, be a bit controversial, a bit radical, and memorable like the Firecat was to stay relevant-ish.
