@GTGarageTalk thanks mate I really do appreciate the quick replies as I am kinda forced to move on from my cruze and need to make a move tomorrow. In your other video you made mention that you were getting about 19 highway mpg. Were you mainly giving er during that time? I mainly drive highway and my cruze gets 31. Going from fwd to awd is needed where I live so I was fine with some tradeoff in mpg but that kinda worried me 😅 once again thank you

Would you say the GR Corolla makes a better family vehicle than a 3rd Gen Tacoma? I currently have a Tacoma and with the child seat the front passenger is cramped a bit into the dash.

I feel like it’s depending on what type of weather you experience , I have a lot of snow where I’m from so the AWD is nice in the winter but I believe the type r has more cargo and seat room if you’re into that

Depends on the stroller. We did not test it, but are familiar with the space and what can fit. I will say, the trunk on a Civic Type R is roomier. The raised floor of the GR takes up a lot of what would be usable space.

It’s a Graco extend-to-fit. I think it fit more perfectly in the Corolla than 90% of the other cars we have installed it in.

I wished it had rear ac. Im in Phoenix AZ and summers can get to around 116. So you have to blast ac for the person in the back. Next year, I guess an automatic version is coming out. At age 43, im tired of standards. especially in city driving and traffic jams. So I'll wait until next year for the automatic.

Thanks for doing videos like these. I watch a lot of vehicles about fun family sedans and hatchbacks to drive but they’re either too expensive or too small. I’ve been driving a 2014 Altima for the past 8 years and I’ve been looking at cars like the GTI but the cargo space in that car is non existent. I plan on starting a family within the next 5 years and I tend to keep cars for a long time. It would be nice to have a vehicle that ticks all the boxes of being fun to drive with nimble handling, can accommodate a rear facing car seat without compromising too much or at all on passengers that sit in front of it, has fold down rear seats, and has large cargo space. The car that seems to check those boxes for me are either the new Integra or the new Impreza RS. I’m 5’-10” and I tried the RS at the Ny auto show and it felt very spacious. However, since it only comes with CVT people have been panning it. I’ve only driven cvt for the past 8 years so it might be a better experience for me. Before than I drove an e36 and I loved it. But I digress. Something 30k or lower that has nimble handling, 60/40 seats, decent cargo space, lift back design and/or 60/40 seats so I can store a bicycle inside when I go cycling at different locales, and has great fuel economy would be a dream. It feels like once start a family, they fun option goes out the door until they’re old enough to not be in car seats.

Happy to help. This one definitely has limited cargo space, but a Civic hatch or Integra A Spec or Type S might be ideal for you (though the Integra Type S is $50k)

In the spectrum of sacrifice, this can work as a daily......indeed in the winter, the AWD on winters will be awesome. I found the clutch a little heavy, but otherwise a great fun car.

I owned a GRC for 3 months. I hated it. Once I got over the initial excitement from the HYPE, the flaws starting showing through strongly. Loud road noise, cheap cheap cheap quality, compromised “AWD” system from RAV4 parts, too damn small, thrashy engine, clunky gearbox with a 47lb dual mass flywheel/clutch combo. Just NO NO NO; don’t miss it at all. Was it quick, yes, once moving, 3rd and 4th gear were strong. However, there a lot of fast cars that’s aren’t shitboxes.

Same here own mine for 3 months already except I’m in love with the damn car. Turn my head back every single time I park and the driving experience is just so fun. I could care less about the quality or the space.
