The wheel isn't capacitive touch. It just measures the resistance to the motor turning the wheel.

I saw somewhere that someone attached a weight to the wheel and it tricked the system.

What happens with the adaptive cruise control if it is forced to slow down for a car in front to the point where the speed is too high for the gear you're in? For example you're in 6th gear going 60mph and you come up behind a car that is suddenly doing 30mph. Does the car autonomously start braking and ask you to downshift to avoid the engine stalling? I haven't come across anyone with a video on this. Another scenario would be if someone in front slammed their brakes on, if the car reacted the same it would stall and potentially create even more of a hazard.

I can answer part of that. It will slow you down for a car in front of you, but if the speed gets too slow for the gear, it will let you downshift and still keep the cruise on, but ultimately it's up to the driver to select the correct gear.

@@youtoobe169 thanks, just what I needed to know. I've never owned a manual car with adaptive cruise control (in fact no manual I've ever owned has had cruise control in general!), so it is very intriguing to me. I like how this has the active lane assist too and the self revving when letting off the clutch. All of the small things you usually don't get when buying a manual, but now there's absolutely no reason not to. Cheers!
