I highly doubt it, at around 8700 sold last year it doesn’t sell enough to warrant two lengths. Sharing the platform over 4 vehicles should help cut costs so maybe if it sell well enough in the next few years there might be a chance.

As a Toyota Sequoia owner the front interior upgrades look great. However, that rear shelf system and the elimination of the signature rear lift gate power window have removed a ton of functionality for the vehicle. Bad news for pet owners and folks who wish to haul long cargo. Why mess with a good thing??

The additions and improvements far outweigh your gripes. The rear seats fold down so its no issue for most pets and I don't think a Sequoia is commonly used for hauling extra long cargo.
@Ryan2022
@Ryan2022 2 жыл бұрын
@@KG49 They don’t fold down flat and the shelf system looks more like a bother than anything else. The presence of the hybrid battery under the floor in the rear has severely compromised the cargo space of this particular vehicle. Contrary to the belief of people who live in Europe or dense cities in the United States plenty of people actually use these type of vehicles for all manner of transport including pets in cages camping gear sports gear and many other activities. I am looking at a full-size SUV but I would be hesitant to purchase one like this for the type of money one needs to spend and then for the times you need all of the utility it’s not there

I was seriously looking at the new GM Yukon Denali, but after reading the reviews and CR rating of 1 out of 5 reliability scale, it was DOA. I wouldn't pay 80K for a SUV for that rating. I don't think there is any comparison between this new Toyota Sequoia 2023 and the GM Tahoe or Yukon. Just wish that the new Sequoia got a little more trunk space.

As long as you don’t have dogs. The rear cargo area in this is a joke, this coming from someone with a 19 sequoia which 66 cubic ft of space with the third row down.
@jerryding6190
@jerryding6190 2 жыл бұрын
@@tommy516 I was soo diappointed when I saw this new Sequoia. They didn't give the numbers yet, but the spec of the 2023 model would be more similar to a land cruiser than Sequoia. The trunk space is a joke, with 2nd row doesn't slide. It compromises 3rd row passanger's leg room, which cuts in to the trunk space. The only reason people would pick this over a Tahoe, would be due to Toyota's reliability.
@jerryding6190

Now with the hybrid battery installed, and second row not being able to slide, the space would be much less compared to a Yukon or a Taheo.

The fact that the rear seats don't fold down flat would be an issue for my dog jumping up into the rig. That cavity would catch his front legs and maybe trip him up to get all the way inside the cargo area...I'd have to bring him to the dealer to check this out first hand. Not really dealing with that issue on the Tahoe/Yukon because of the Independent Rear Suspension since the seat fold down position matches the floor. Hmmmm...something to consider I'd say

Interesting that Toyota chose to keep the Sequoia nameplate over the Land Cruiser. I feel like the land cruiser name holds so more weight and has a loyal following. I get that they couldn’t keep both vehicles since they sort of compete with each other, but now the Sequoia is now priced in Land cruiser territory. To me, they should’ve just called this the new Land Cruiser and get rid of the Sequoia nameplate

Land Cruisers are smaller and more rare. Never been the same vehicle

Toyota has kept both vehicles. The Land Cruiser still exists and a new one is being released, just not in North America. Naming it a Land Cruiser would not only be confusing, it would be inaccurate.

It's still a minivan with a v-6. Sequoia are minivans.

Sadly those models are not available here in Europe. The Truck looks really nice - especially the TRD Version.

Tragically, we can't buy a GR Yaris , 2 door Land Cruiser Prado, Corolla Estate, Yaris or Yaris Cross that are all available in Europe.

That front grill looks ridiculous. That rear storage area would be very difficult to load something in ( like a chair, which I have put into my 2019, easily) and difficult for dogs to leap into. Those rear seats being higher like that would probably not allow a 6' teenager to sit comfortably.
