GM needs to get a lot more information out to the public regarding their 2.5 and 2.7 turbo 4's... they're excellent engines and pull strong throughout. The 2.5 is plenty enough but the 2.7 is significantly stronger. That said, it seems a lot of people automatically dismiss these new vehicles because of their new engines, without even driving them. Trust me, the older V6 isn't anymore powerful and won't provide you with any better a driving experience.

I think it would be perfect if not for the 4 cylinder. These (this one, Acadia, Enclave) are big cars for a turbo 4 to move around. I have had 3 of the 3.6’s and never had an issue and always felt good about the power and mileage.

Just got a fully loaded RS off the truck Wednesday I put the order in for it January 13. It came off the truck May 13. I’m very pleased how I look and feel and is very beautiful. Let me tell you you kicking in sports mode that 328 horsepower gets up and go, but you really need to see the interior and how the truck lights up at night. I’m very pleased with my purchase. I know a lot of people didn’t do well in school so if you can’t understand a four-cylinder is putting out more horsepower than a V6, I guess it’s true. America is coming down.. I could’ve brought me a Escalade, but I chose this one. Money is not a problem with me.

Been on a long search for a third row SUV, driven 7 different vehicles in the last month, including a new traverse RS. The cons are that the 2.5t is sluggish off the line, it’s not underpowered but it’s just average, no pep at all. Handling was actually pretty good, ride was very good. Brakes were excellent. The other highlight was just the size, it has more room than a grand Cherokee L or Atlas. It’s probably not much smaller than a Tahoe.

I mean here’s the thing, for a family hauler this has plenty of get up and go. It’s really moreso just disappointing for this new gen to be slower than the old one. Progress in every way other than performance

I see they put red accents in the front of the interior but the outside would’ve looked better with some red break calibers .

What’s under the hood is one of the best things about the new Traverse. 310 hp from a 3.6L naturally aspirated V6 was beginning to feel lethargic. This new 2.5t is more powerful, mated to a way better 8-speed automatic, and this motor should be way more reliable than the outgoing motor. They’ve addressed everything, there’s no downsides to the Chevy Traverse if it’s within your budget and this is coming from someone who loves 6 cylinders but was trying to get away from the 3.6L V6. Loved the power from it in my Impala Premier. The 2.5t is just a better designed engine.

All chevy vehicles get the 2.7 liter engine. This is a great disservice to the SUV.

Why make a car that looks like this and throw a 4cyl turbo in it 🤦🏻‍♂️

For this price, the RS should be an RST, with the 5.3 V8.

I don’t think the control for the shifter is a good idea on my car that is for the wipers I’d be afraid of hitting that throwing into low or reverse rather have turn knob on center console or on the dash , that would really make it hard to get used to. Your thoughts on this Ben ?

21 MPG in 2024?! You should just replace the whole team. I own a V6 2018 Traverse and it gets about 30 MPG highway. I have been waiting for years for the new generation. What a disappointment. At least make in hybrid if you can't do electric.

You always have access to all these vehicles, but you have the worst camera work than any other car reviewer, just so horrible. The extreme close-ups you do, the constant wildly swinging of the camera is dizzying.
