For the base version of these I would get the Gladiator because they give you Dana 44's. The base Wrangler gives you the small Dana 35's.

I traded my 2001 Wrangler Sport for a Gladiator. As a Home owner having a truck is so much more useful and longer wheel base makes it ride better. Taking the soft top down is easier. Plus I already have a Honda CRV, so I didn't need another SUV

"Not very good at being a truck" Reviewers for some strange reason seem to forget Gladiators are a midsize truck not a full size truck. "Doesn't tow that much" Well for a midsize it actually has best in class towing at 7700lbs. Actually it might be tied with the new GMC canyon because I believe they're up to 7700lbs now (obviously it varies on trim level). And please tell me which one of these other midsize trucks can compete with a Gladiator in stock form off road.....none. Which truck is as fun as a Gladiator with taking the roof and doors off...none. I'm actually trading in my F150 for one because I don't really need a full size truck anymore and also to be honest when I look at all the full size trucks they all just look like the same o'l shit to me. You are right on the power trains though. If the Wrangler has all those engines to choose from why not the Gladiator. The main reason these Gladiators get shit on in my opinion is they are too damn expensive for a midsize truck.

Let's see if the new Jeep CEO is a man of his word. This week he stated that they will bring Jeep back to its roots, get pricing back inline, and add options at no extra cost. Now we wait and see?

Thanks for this review! I’ve been looking and comparing this same two vehicles (same trim levels too) lately. The Willys seems like the “sweet spot” trim level for both the Wrangler & Gladiator. The payload capacity on the gladiator is not great though, at just over 800lbs!!?? Guess I’ll keep my Ram with a nice 1,700lb payload. The appealing thing with Jeep… simple, old school drivetrain components (console shifter, manual parking brake and manual 4wd level)… not knobs, buttons or weird switches… and to me that feels like simplistic reliability!

I would like to know if I should buy the Gladiator 2022 (new)v6 or the new Rubicon 2024 2 l turbo ... I am located in Thailand, and the gladiator is a lot cheaper in this case .... thanks

Put a RSI Smartcap or equivalent on the Gladiator like I did and you have a Wrangler XL. We really like ours.

Is this comparable to a Colorado zr2 which would be better for daily driving and weekend desert running

I went Wrangler with the '24. My wife wants a Gladiator though. We're holding off a while because the Ram 1500 bighorn we have is nice and well, much better at being a truck. Cheers!

The Wrangler and Gladiator taillights option out exactly the same. In your comparison, the Wrangler has the base taillights, while the Gladiator has the LEDs that come with the blind spot monitoring system.

The Gladiator is more practical and has a significantly better ride than the Wrangler. However if you're a hardcore off-roader the shorter wheelbase Wrangler (or Bronco) is the way to go. I own a 2023 Mojave and love it.

I don’t know why Jeep does certain things like why didn’t they put the 33s on the gladiator 🤦🏻‍♂️🤔 I have a 2022 Willy’s with the Firestone tires and don’t like them. Seem to wear quickly. And loud. Other Jeeps I’ve had. Had the BFG 33s and I was very happy with them.

I like the Willys edition, however, that package does not provide charging port outlets for phones on the rear console for rear passengers. Why is that? That's very unreasonable.

Wrangler has 33" tires with 3:45 gearing, Gladiator has 32" tires and 3:73 gearing.

Argh. I watched this whole video in hopes that it would be something other than the fact that the gladiator is slightly smoother on the road and has a truck bed.. damn. The real difference is that you’re going to pay a little over $2000 more so that you can have adaptive cruise control which is standard on the unlimited..
