The four prototypes of the C8 Corvette ZR1 continued testing at the Nürburgring in a second test week and I took the chance to take more video sequences and visited new places for video along the Nordschleife.

You say finally like we needed one so bad. NA and supercharged corvettes have been winning races and hearts for years. Everybody is doing turbos. A supercharger would be different and very cool on a motor like this.

it almost sounds like they are testing both engines. Sometimes I think i hear the FPC and sometimes it is definitely hear the CPC.

That is flyinggggggg... wow.. Previous video they showed a 2024 z06 running the ring. On the same part of the track and full beans, the zr1 is going to crush the z06 , huge speed.

@@stupid7919 similar displacement DOHC flatplane v8 derived from the nissan R390. Frankly I really don't like how muffled it is but the turbo sound is pretty cool.

@@Jr_56463:51 that wing is just as crazy as a gt3 rs wing. That wing looks almost too large for the corvette… and we all know the corvette is a bigger vehicle than the gt3 rs. So that wing is technically bigger than the gt3 rs wing.

@@N0neofyourbusiness. Agree to disagree I guess. The corvette is about 5 inches wider then the gt3 rs so you would expect the wing to also be about 5 inches wider as well. That doesn't make the wider wing "crazier". The fact that the gt3 rs wing sits about even with the roof line and about 18 inches off the trunk lid makes it crazier. The fact that the gt3 rs wing is also a dual element wing with active drs makes it WAY crazier. The zr1 is just a single element fixed wing. There is a picture of the motor with twin turbo. Interesting is the fact it has outboard exhaust instead of center quad (engine picture not this car)

Because the CAD file with that pic is 5 years old…long before they had the z06/zr1 finished design. It was based off the Stingray body.

Porsche 911 GT2 RS MR - 6.43.300s. Mercedes-AMG Black Series - 6:43.616s. Porsche 911 GT3 RS (992) - 6:44.84s. Lamborghini Aventador SVJ - 6:44.97s. Porsche 911 GT2 RS - 6:47.3s. Lamborghini Huracan Performante - 6:52:01s. Based on this, I honestly highly doubt the C8 Corvette ZR1 is pulling off 6:30 on the ring, thus beating out every single production car record to exist currently, that is a seriously high claim, I would be impressed if it pulls it off and it's possible yes, but I still doubt it since it hasn't shown much in to make me really believe it to be capable like that.

@@RBZ06LT6if there’s a 4th radiator in front, it has the electric motor so it could be the zora. That has been seen in other spy shots. The eray has the same 4th vertical cooler for battery cooling.

It has a lower pitched sound than the Z06. I suppose the turbos could certainly change the exhaust sound. It would be disappointing if a pushrod engine unless something new beyond the 6.2. How long before we see a supercharged or turbocharged ERay....
