do. the. widebody. Like you said, practicality is out the window. That kit is style personified. My question for you is, what color? paint or wrap?

I am HEAVILY considering this... like you said I'm leaning into the style of it all. - Most likely wrap it, just for the ease of installation and the fact I would want to run a livery that pays homage to the old 80/90s Castrol Toyota race cars, but with a modern spin.

@@CarQuicks then you definitely need to go widebody. And do a video about it when it’s done. That sort of thing is great for people who like to express themselves through their ride. I’m not quite that bold but I’m actually planning on building a car and I’ll get to do it through that car

It's a good design but could be significantly better if they focused less on the aerodynamics The front end looks a bit too tall and arched + the rear seems kinda thin. This serves a purpose but it makes the car look strangely proportioned from angles like the one the photo of the red charger is taken from (21:46)

You have a point. I do see what you are speaking about, I also think the lighting from their press images, some just do not do well to highlight the width and how the car sits. - Though I am of the camp that we can lower and slap better wheels on and achieve optimal looks. Lol.

I dig the Rocket Bunny GRC kit, not sure I'd do it to my car cause I want to be semi low profile but I like it.

As you should because you are holding a current and future classic. In a couple years those 392s will be trading hands for much higher prices.

Man... that's an understatement, I can see people running folks over not understanding the speed they are carrying because the EV version of the Charger is silent (well, it does have an "exhaust", but if that's turned off, they wouldn't be the wiser).

From the standpoint of design, this looks more like the 60s Charger than the current Charger. But it's all subjective. I do remember the screaming when Dodge showed off the 2006 Charger Concept and NO ONE, not a soul liked it and then 10+ years later... we love it. Lol.

@@CarQuicks yeah, really the looks of it aren’t what have me shaking my head. It’s the psychotic “no turning back” attitude from the pro-EV crowd.

@@doobiemcnasty3254 That attitude is what I push against as well. Because this does not need to be an "end all, be all" scenario. Some EV advocates think that we are using ICE-powered cars in some archaic, barbarian way, like the technology for car development hasn't increased 1000x from our early days. And like I always say, we will have a Con to mass EV development and the materials needed, it already is if the conversation is about the people who are mining these new materials at scale.
