My answer is Yes, but you shouldn't want too... In this video I explain why you should NOT daily drive your Hellcat and why you should ONLY drive it once in a while and only in nice weather on nice days... The Hellcat is an expensive Performance Car that shouldn't be driven all day everyday, it should only be driven on special occasions. As an owner of a hellcat, there is no way you can daily one of these unless you got money. You WILL be at the pump every two days. WILL!! And to the people saying just go easy on the gas, you know dam well that ain't happening. Getting on it in this car just happens without you even realizing it; that supercharger whine is like a hit of crack....addicting. This is an EXPENSIVE car to own! My insurance cost more than most of yalls car notes. Gas?🤣 Premium only fellas and that's every 2-3 days if you daily it. Tires?🤣🤣🤣 used go for 450 bucks a piece. New? 600 on the cheap end to 800+ on the high end. If you ain't making minimum 75k+ (no kids and your have your own place) or 90k+(if you have kids and your own place), this car is too expensive for you to own especially if you bought it new like I did. I pay 1450 a month and that don't include the 350 in insurance nor the gas. Basically I pay dam near 2k a month just to own this car AND I have my own house, 2015 built. I don't have kids tho. Do the math.

@@SRTHEMI I have the Durango… my best ever is 15.4mpg and that was flat ground, cruise control set at 70mph in eco mode. Even driving slow as F in Eco I don’t think I could even get it to 10mpg in the city 😂

@kurdishsvr867 I don't think the hellcats are all that bad on gas considering for the most part ive drove trucks since I've been out of school so I'm use to not really good gas mileage plus I don't rip on mine so...I get with the black key 19.9mpg last time I checked with the red key I was down to 18.6 I don't know if using the different keys really makes a difference but I wanted to see if it did or not... I should mention I don't live in a city so for the most part I'm driving 55-60mph consistently being the closest city to me is a 26 minute drive one way and I work an alternative shift schedule so for me I can go a week on $30-40 of gas And still have my gas tank near half full I try not to let it get low. I think daily driving an RT or Scat wouldn't be bad considering how good of mileage I'm getting out of my hellcat quite above the average they claim so I could imagine if I had an RT or Scat I'd be getting mid to upper twenties for the mpg.

I daily drove my 21 charger hellcat widebody. Spent like 50$ every 2 days in gas. Averaged like 12 mpg trying to drive like grandmom. Now i have a 2003 camry 4cyl. I daily. 40$ gas last a week. Keep miles low on my newly acquired charger redeye. And save money on gas the camry will pay for itself just in gas savings. Now when i get in my redeye its all fun. Not worrying about saving gas. 9 mpg. Average bit its fun 9 mpg .

this is so true. i exceed triple digits regularly in my zl1 though its where speeds are higher. not residential areas. i never turn down a challenge and i can be a bully lol. Great video. I daily drove a 392 Scat Pack Charger for 2 years; sun, rain, snow. Loved it. Had 2 sets of wheels; snow tires in eco mode and I was fine in the Cincinnati snow. But I did have Hellcat envy..

Knockout just curious what car is your daily? Congrats on the Hellcat, I still every now and then love when I get the chance to drive the 6.4 Challenger that my Brother has. Only runs it on nice weekends. He was going to go up to Hellcat, but honestly the 6.4 is really fast and that car can cause enough trouble, plus his car was custom built from the factory, the build sheet has his name on it so it is sentimental, He got it equipped with the shaker hood and everything real nice, all black. Sad these cars are going away.

I average 10mpg in my hellcat. The only thing that makes me question daily driving is the traction it gets. I was driving cautiously in the rain a few days ago. Was doing 45mph in a 45mph zone and for no reason just started hydroplaining. You can also feel the car wanting to hydroplain on the freeway in the rain. Maybe it's the tires. I have nitto 555r tires.

I've done it for 3 years by driving, like i have some GD sense, on Eco mode Wed-Sun. I drive 13 miles to and from work daily. I open everything up only on Mon & Tues, which are my days off. I have a single cab ram 1500 too that i can swap out when i want.

It’s really dependent on your own temperament as the driver of such a machine. I don’t even wanna think how many people talk about beating me in a race to their friends because they pull up beside me while I’m just going to work and floor it off down the road lmao. Only time I really let loose is out on the backroads in rural countryside. I plan on picking one up once I’m done buying my house here soon as my grocery getter/dad car. I want something practical but still a heap of fun when I want it to be. I can’t stand boring cars, but the only two cars that come to mind with four doors that can be fast as all hell is either a charger, or a CT5-V blackwing, and the charger has hella grown on me overtime due to it being practical enough while still being an absolute blast to drive.

I’m a retired army veteran and I’m debating between a scat and a cat but not sure which one to get. Since I’m retired I don’t drive everyday unless it’s to run errands or drop off or pick up my son from school. So which one would be better to drive and if you had a choice would you have kept you’re scat cause of how much you at the gas station with the cat or you happy that you went up to cat even with everything that went on in this video.

If you can find a ‘19-‘22 Scat pack clean title with good mileage around your town. That’ll be the best deal honestly. You can get the hellcat by all Means. But unless your racing daily for going to shows. Preferably save the cash buy the Scat and use the leftover cash invest in some houses or buy another car with it 🙏

Does daily driving a TrackHawk count? Its not an SRT but still, I daily drive it once the temperature in the North East drops too low to get descent traction on my 392. I get 14 mpg average and with a 25 gallon tank still end up at the gas station every 2 to 3 days.

I drive my 2018 Trackhawk everyday to work, to the gym , and back to the gym. I mostly drive in in auto mode everyday. The only time I dog the hawk is when I’m having fun with another fast car or I got a chick In the car. So I think if u have the money for gas, ur fine to daily a hellcat / trackhawk/ scat pack

It depends I get 18mpg in my hellcat but that doesn’t last very long because it’s so hard to drive a hellcat like a granny I have happy feet so now I’m at 10mpg consistently 😂700hp at ur feet is tempting

You know that feeling you get when you get pulled over? I get that feeling each time i do something stupid behind the wheel of my HC challey along with looking over my shoulder. It makes it worse when you know the world out there also has cameras now. But the feeling before that is exhilaration! Pure driving excitement! You gotta have a good reason to own one without objectively being stupid in my opinion, but it is a tool at the end of the day. If you need to escape a situation it’s better to have a fast car if you can handle it, and at that point even if gas and mileage is a factor you’d get away so fast that you could switch cars or just flat out escape. The only issue is the power is addicting and it will kill your pockets if you don’t got the bread as a daily. It’s like having a Glock switch, with great power comes great responsibility, ammo costs more and the gun would need more maintenance same with a car. So unless you have money you wouldn’t always carry it and if you do you wouldn’t always go full throttle. It definitely can be a daily if you’re careful about gas or can manage the costs, then as long as you can actually handle the car you’re set.

I only drive my track hawk and Camaro ss on the weekends. Just free spirated driving alone in the Hawk is $75 for that day. Shit is insanee!! I honestly wouldn’t even wana drive a hellcat everyday. Draws to much attention and unnecessary. Why do I need to go to dollar tree or Walmart in something like that ?? It’s mandatory to have a normal daily driver to take the everyday beating. These are only weekend cars

I can't afford one yet but in my opinion if you have this car you should be able to afford a second regular car I know dude pushed a modded new zl1 but also drove a crusty old Chevy Cruze to work everyday
