I love how the newer books are giving so much love to the old legends books from the Prequel era. It's a great way to pay tribute to them and the kids who grew up with them who are now adults!

I’ve always loved Siri Tachi, and I’m glad she’s getting another appearance. When I read the book with her death, I was at just the right middle school age to affect me just the right way.

With all of these references to the ROTS novel… Alex you should do a review of it haha. Seriously though it is a fantastic work of fiction.

I find it really interesting that Dooku is welcome back to visit the Jedi Order any time despite him leaving the Jedi and very surprising that he accepts and does visit on occasion, implying that at least at the time, he still had respect and fondness for his former peers despite their differences. I'd always assumed he'd completely severed ties with them but I really like this new detail and it makes me even more interested in the timeline of Dooku falling to the dark side. And the added detail of Bola Ropal being a childhood friend of Obi-Wan's adds a new tragic element to his death at the hands of Cad Bane, not that it was even needed. When Obi-Wan hears his name in The Clone Wars, now he's realising Bane is going after his old friend, although that mission were under Darth Sidious's orders, not Dooku's. That's great but saddening new context. Also I don't think because Obi-Wan says he doesn't *think* there are Wayseekers anymore in the prequel era, doesn't necessarily mean there definitely aren't. Keeve Trennis in the High Republic comics had never heard of a Wayseeker until she met Orla, who had to explain the concept to her in their first meeting if I remember right and she lived in the High Republic era. I just think most young Jedi had never heard of the Wayseekers and they weren't standard or part of the Jedi curriculum, which makes sense given how they operated outside of the Order's directives for the most part, so most never would have met one so it's possible that there were still Wayseekers just off doing their own thing long after the High Republic

I am new to Legends in a way, I've read the Darth Bane Trilogy, Darth Plaguies, Darth Revan, Kenobi, Millennium Falcon, Thrawn Trilogy and currently reading Fate of the Jedi series. I have to read the New Jedi Order series, Legacy series, one of the Old Republic books, Choice of One and Cloak of Deception! But with Siri appearing in a lot of stuff lately, I think I have to get the Jedi Apprentice series now.

Hearing Obi-Wan doubt he'd ever fall in love with someone of a political status makes me wonder what happened between he and Satine that would make him very distrusting of politicians because in Attack of the Clones, he warns Anakin that Padmé is a politician and not to be trusted. And due to the nature of their reunion during the Clone Wars, it makes sense that Obi-Wan and Satine would be a bit at odds with each other, but I guess there may have also been some unresolved issues from their last meeting bubbling to the surface. I think it may be time we get that story of Obi-Wan's mission to Mandalore back in the day. Sounds like perhaps both could be to blame for whatever happened.
