This is one of those turning point games, not in the season…in the rebuild, we have enough guts to fight back into a game that….for the last 7 seasons would have been a loss before the start of the second.

Bought tickets to the game and drove to Pittsburgh from Detroit to watch the only regular-season meeting between these two teams in person. First period was rough but ain't no way I was leaving early. There were a few other Detroit fans in the rows around us and with each goal, our celebrations got louder with Walman's OT winner launching all of us out of our seats. Unforgettable experience.

Tampa has to take those honors for me. Pittsburgh is one of those "in the back of your mind" kinda rivalries, but Tampa bay is so much more in your face and blatant about it, not to mention the divisional implications. I'll never forget the beratement wings fans were given from a not even yet dynastic Dolts fanbase when they ousted us in the playoffs twice in a row. They acted like they dismantled the '97/'98 wings in their prime or something.

That's what I'm talk'en about. The boyz really skated, and hit tonight. Larks is playing his best hockey. This was a team win. A miracle on ice! The breakouts were quick, the passing was deadly and the skating was what it should've been. The unsung hero's, Siderblum, and Hellburg! We've finally have two quality goalies. This is big, and beautiful.

OH MY GOD WHAT A COMEBACK! *wild applause* When I saw this was a Part 2, I said to myself, "Don't tell me we managed to mount a comeback from down 4-0 halfway through the game...", but by the grace of God, we did. Absolutely gritty, gutsy, unbelievable comeback for the Wings! Don't write them out of the Playoffs just yet! Another stunner of a win for the Wings to go with the two wins over Tampa Bay!

Reminds me of the OT winner in the 98 cup finals. Yzerman looks like a genius signing Perron, who was huge in this game. I wonder what we look like if the roster was 100 percent. Nice game, best of the season so far. LGRW!

For those Red Wings fans who switched the channel after the first period when the Wings were down 4 to nothing after 20 minutes, YOU BLEW IT!!!!!!! I predicted that the Red wings were gonna get massacred and killed by Pittsburgh, don’t know by how many goals or shots taken but after 20 minutes, I tweeted out to the Red Wings on Twitter saying SPOILER ALERT! The Wings are gonna get Killed by Pittsburgh! And that’s when it hit, The Wings spiritually told us: “Hold My Beer, Bud!” And they come out scoring 2 goals in both the second and third periods including the necessary game tying goal by Perron late in the third to set up OT, Walman with the Game Winner in OT and the Griddy on Skates, which is impressive and not easy to do on skates, but down 4-0 after 20 minutes to tie the game at 4 a piece late in the third, and winning the game in OT, would you say that this was a Top Five Game of the Year for the Wings? I would assume so, Hellberg kept the Wings in this game, stopping all the shots he faced, and deserved to be named one of the Stars of the Game, along with Walman!

Guilty as charged. Turned off after 3rd goal. The Pens have really rung the Wings up over the past few years with some pretty lop-sided scores. Thank GOD for awood40 stays and watches it all.

Well the only thing carried into the game was that Buffalo continues to light them up. If this team just stopped letting the bad habits from last year keep popping up, they’d easily be in the playoffs.

This was a nice win for the winged wheel. Wings miss the playoffs again this year, but come close. A pretty impressive streak of what 7 or 8 years in a row now. They are trending in the right direction though. Pens make the playoffs again, for the umpteenth year in a row, all in salary cap era. Unprecedented. Enjoy the moment, but realize the season as a whole is a failure.

If you think that's bad you should see what they do when they win the Stanley Cup. They throw their equipment in the air and jump around like pompous brats. No place for such childish emotions like elation and accomplishment in the NHL!
