I guess, that transformer is not functional and you are going to rewind it. Waiting for the next video... Please do continue your good work.

Sir, I want to ask how can we understand the smps transformator is fault? For example, my smps big transformator connect the rectifier diode DC output, when I control the rectifier diode dc out, its show short, can we say transformator is fault? And is the transformator repairing possible and how?
@HaseebElectronics
@HaseebElectronics 3 жыл бұрын
welcome dear basically it is a high frequency transformer which cannot be tested using a multimeter if there is high frequency switching in input and there is a ac voltage drop on primary side. with no load check the DC vcc voltage from axillary winding, if it is slightly above than the UVLO of the SMPS controller, that means the SMPS controller, MOSFET and transformer is working properly if, the VCC voltage are near to OLP (over load protection) limit of SMPS controller , that will sign of short circuit of secondary winding if there is low voltage on VCC capacitor, & fluctuations on Bulk capacitor, that will sign of short in primary winding if the MOSFET is getting short again and again, it might be short in primary winding. or low switching frequency sometimes, due to saturation or over temperature the core material is degraded, then the transformer core fails due to loosing its magnetizing capabilities and the transformer behaves as short

welcome and special thanks for describing your point. you are absolutely correct that the commercially prepared and sold for public useable ferrite core transformers are prepared using some low quality bonding materials and varnish. but machine fitted transformers are pressed at high pressure and they are jointed using high grade adhessives. so its separation becomes near to impossible. it is correct that the boiling method or heating up methods are used for low quality transformers. i am thankful for sharing your valuable experement ad using various chemicals to disassemble it. (i translated this message using google translator, it may have translation errors, if you find some inappropriate translated words, please excuse me) moreove i will try to get some branded transformer and will give it to my chamical analysis labaratory to get some solution. if i got some success, i will share it surely please accept my best regards and special thanks for writing your valuable comment
