You win the _BEST_ explanation yet for how to test a transformer from the videos I've watched (and best English too)! Very easy logic to follow! You helped me so I'll return the favor a little. A "winding" in this case is pronounced more like 'why-n-ding' or more precisely 'whine-ding" and not like windy or windstorm. You had it correct a couple times though! (I blame the Franks and Saxons in the Middle Ages for making 'English' so hard!😅)

but how can you distinguish if the cores are intermittent or shorter because that way of testing is for continuity only , so how can you determine if the core or transformer is intermittent)shorted or not ., Thank you sir.

Continuity is not a sure way to identify a bad transformer. I have one which should be 230V to 15V with continuity on both primary and secondary winding, yet the output voltage is only half of what it should be.
