What are your NASCAR predictions for 2023?

I don’t know what it is but I think Kyle Busch wins the Daytona 500. He finished in the Top 10 last year and Austin Dillon won the summer Daytona race. RCR’s Superspeedway package has always been great and I think he’ll finally get the final race that he needs to win on his Hall Of Fame resume.

I like a hungry and motivated Kyle Busch in 2023. If he doesn't break in victory lane, he is damn sure going to kick the door down, it won't be for a lack of effort.

I think Christopher bell is gonna have a big year this year personally. He proved how clutch he can be last year in the playoffs winning two times in cut off races in must win situations.

One of my predictions is Sheldon Creed getting his 1st Xfinity win Been noticing that it usually takes him a year To get going.. 2019: Missed the playoffs 2020: Truck series champ 2022: Missed the Xfinity playoffs Despite nearly making it at Darlington in an Incredible battle with Gragson and larson And Getting crashed out at Bristol 2023:: ?? 👀

As much as I like Jack Roush the best thing for RFK is for Roush to get out of the way and let Brad do Brad things. Based on the Beuscher win and a bunch of top 10 runs between the two cars, I'd say they're headed in the right direction. Won't be easy, but they have a good start.

Kyle Busch winning 5+ races isn’t out of question in my book. A motivated Kyle Busch is dangerous. Just look at 2015 when he broke his leg/foot. He came back and won the next 4 races in a row and was super consistent (and he won the championship).

My doubt will be 2024 Cup Series team debut for JR Motorsports next year. That will be great .

I will say Jimmie Might not be irrelevant in 2023. We saw him fighting for wins at ovals in 2022 in Indy car especially at tracks like Iowa. He got a top 5 at Iowa and had P1 pace. Thats in indy car which is one of the most competitive racing series. So of he adapts to the new car well he could pull of some top 5s. Wins I doubt but i have learned not to doubt Jimmie at Ovals

I feel that FedEx easing up on sponsorship with Hamlin possible it might create a situation like Kyle Busch again, and especially with the current morale within JGR

I think that we will have RWR, Spire, or Live Fast selling a charter at the end of the season due to the fact that they are the backmarker teams that end up finishing bottom 3 in points for charter cars. I also think that JRM will buy it and have either an RCR or Hendrick alliance. Second prediction is with 3F; 3F Racing will get a T20 this year, with 5 or 10 scheduled races and an RCR alliance, shouldn't be impossible.

In a way Brandon Jones and Kyle Busch are both equally motivated but in slightly different ways but similarly related because of ty Gibbs. They'll both do very well in their series races this season.

Austin Dillon gets a win at a 1.5mi oval 9. Denny Hamlin regresses further in a potential lame duck season 10. The Playoffs actually work as intended for once, just like last year

Great Video! NASCAR is so streaky. Look at last season. Hamlin was garbage at the start of the season, but scored the most points in the playoffs with a bunch of top 5's and top10's. Chase Elliott was the hottest driver in the summer by far, but was one of the worst in the postseason. Logano was probably the most consistent driver through the season, along with his teammate Blaney. So I'm not saying it will be a repeat of that, but guys tend to be up and down. And I totally expect Kyle Busch to have a much stronger season.

Tv negotiations will be interesting and the new schedule will hopefully include some international races.

I think that we are going to see at least 16 winners this year. The only real driver that was truly a threat to win on a semi constituent basis that left was Kurt Busch. In his place, we have AJ coming back, as well as Gibbs and Gragson being able to focus on Cup fully. We also have Preece who could surprise us like Chastain did. In addition, Petty GMS, 23XI, Front Row, RFK, Kaulig, etc. have made massive steps in improving. So we have even more teams that could compete for wins, plus little in terms of winners leaving. This is shaping up to be 2022 except smoothed out with less of the stupid failures like concussions and fires.

I like everything you said. AJ will be a threat this year. Johnston will just run around in circles. Plus, Ty will get into a fight for sure. I say with one of his teammates. Plus, Kyle Busch will win 5 races this year his 5th win of the year will be for the championship.

My biggest concern with North Wilkesboro is the infrastructure.

Chicago street will be a disaster. It’ll be a huge first for NASCAR, who knows when the last time they actually had a race on public streets (probably when they still ran in Daytona Beach) but you’re talking about running in the downtown streets of a major city. This will be a literal follow the leader race unless there’s a ton of give and take. Either that or you’ll see drivers getting spun out left and right. You’re talking every corner being 90 degrees and they have to be taken at 30-40mph mostly. If NASCAR would have wanted to go with a street race like this, I would have liked to see them prove the concept first with a race. Cleveland would have made a ton of sense. There’s the bones of the old CART circuit at Burke airport that could have been used (assuming they could have gotten the city onboard) and you’re not tying up city streets, which is what I think will be the major downfall of the Chicago race.

Sheldon Creed will make his cup debut for RCR. 18. JGR will shut down the 11 team due to FedEx leaving. 19. RCR will buy at 3rd charter for Austin Hill in 2024 from JGR. 20. JR motorsports and Spire motorsports will merge together. 21. Matt Crafton will miss the trucks series playoffs. 22. Dale Jr will finish top 5 in both of his xfinity starts. 23. I agree about Kyle Busch for sure. I wish they were keeping Auto Club the same as it was before, I don't think it needed to be changed. Indy road course has to go, it sucks so bad.

His 2022 was just so painfully unlucky it was insane, different occurrences kept him away from having what would have BEEN at least 5 or so wins and way more top 5's all last season. Hell, Joey Logano had a terrible 2017 and missed the playoffs entirely, came back and won the Cup title in 2018. Truex, same deal in 2022 as Logano's 2017. It's the following year, history COULD repeat itself again. I'm not just gonna default to writing off Truex just because his 2022 was off from his usual yearly stats in some ways, off years happen to all drivers.

I'm feeling kyle busch getting his 3rd championship. When he wants to prove something, he will ten fold.

I think Blaney is gonna have a good run this year and gets something like 2 maybe 3 wins this year and maintains his consistency. I also believe that Kyle Busch will have a good run and will get something like 4 wins next year and make a final 4 appearance! However I believe in the end that the title will ultimately come down to Larson or Elliott with each being somewhat equivalent to one another and getting something like 5 wins each and staying within the top 5 in points through most of the year.

Bowman is the 4th driver at HMS, and if it ever came to jettison a driver it would be him, so the pressure is on, luckily for him, there are no immediate drivers in HMS's horizon in the immediate future, but a couple seasons like 2022, could change this equation.

I totally agree with #17. North Wilkesboro has been greatly mythologized since it was dropped from the schedule as a symbol of NASCAR leaving behind its core fans. The truth is it was just another track, in the middle of nowhere, with average racing.

my prediction, if he does get a race with Trackhouse in the Project 91 car like rumored for a road course, Shane Van Gisbergen will win the race he enters.

I think Spire Motorsports will start it’s true rise. They could get into the playoffs but might not get too far, probably just the round of 16. Corey and Ty are very determined and I love to cheer for the small teams and I really want to see them grow as a team. I think with 2 full time drivers they will end up getting a win or two and slowly build their way up to a championship some day, but this is my 2023 predictions so this year we will just see the best of the team we’ve seen so far.

I think having the Brickyard 400 as the last race before the playoffs a few years back made it one of the best races there all time. I think Nascar would benefit themselves by bringing it back at that spot on the schedule.

I have 5 predictions: ThorSports drivers will win at least one race is #1. #2 is that Harrison Burton will win WOOD BROTHERS 100th race in 2023. #3) With Cole Custer's demotion to Xfinity, he will help Reilly Herbst win multiple Xfinity races. #4) Todd Gilliland will improve in his sophomore season and FRM will surprise fans. 5)Before 2024, a long term Chevy team will switch to Ford. As a Harvick fan not surprise to see someone doubt him. Everyone thought he would go winless last year and he got two wins. He wouldn't of been a first round playoff exit if it wasn't for all the bad luck he had. I understand if people don't see him as a major title contender but he can still win a race or two.

There has been a weird trend of people thinking drivers age out in their 40s. My dad went on a 7 year winning streak at 41 in 1982. David Rogers won more races in his 40-70 than the rest of his life. Dick Trickle won 600 of his 1100 wins after 40 he retired at 55. If owners would stop thinking drivers age out we would see better racing. Before Jeff Gordon came along Cup drivers didn't even make it to cup until there late 30s.

I said last season if I was Kaulig I would have been trying my hardest to get Allmendinger in a Cup car because of the schedule and playoff format. He could finish in the top 8 in points because of that.

Kyle Busch will be the priority guy, & we know how Childress loves them Mega-Baddies, so unfortunately this will not come to be. 4. Yes please. It'd only be right. 5. Uhhhhh... duh! 6. I do believe Austin Dillon and Kyle Busch will improve together as a team in 2023 for RCR. As a big Austin Dillon fan, I'm happy to see some recognition on his name that isn't saying "pop-pops silver spoon grandson" every time he wins or gets a top 5. He does a lot of off the track stuff for the organization that isn't talked about much. As for Kyle Busch, I've always disliked him as an opponent but having him as a teammate this year, is only going to progress RCR forward, I can't wait for the first green flag of the season. Big things this year.

Actually? These predictions aren't that crazy imho. It may just be because I myself am crazy, but the only two I disagreed with were Brandon Jones and Austin Dillon. If you asked me two months ago if Jones would make the champ 4 in Xfinity this year, I would have said yes. But since then, Custer has been demoted and JHN has been promoted, Creed will improve massively and Allgaier will be Allgaier. That's gonna be enough to keep Jones out. As for Dillon, he DEFINITELY will improve but 18 top 10s are a bit of a stretch.

The All Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway will be extremely well received than the previous two All Star Races held at Texas Motor Speedway. 9. Chase Briscoe picks up where he left off, winning two to four races and a Championship 4 appearence. 10. Tyler Reddick will be slow to start off the year, but pick up after the halfway point. 11. The Chicago Street Course race will be even worse than a Texas Motor Speedway race. Even if this year's race at Texas Motor Speedway in the playoffs is bad and called out by the NASCAR community, it will not be anywhere near as bad as the Chicago Street course race this year. 12. Joey Logano will win three races in 2023. 13. Hailee Deegan will improve with her new Truck team. I don't think she will get a win, but she does get a Top 5 and a couple more Top 10s. 14. Kyle Busch returns to his winning ways in 2023, picking up five wins and a Championship 4 appearance. 15. RFK Racihg improves in 2023. 16. AJ Allmendinger will win at a road course. 17. In the Truck Series, Kyle Busch Motorsports will struggle in 2023. 18. Ty Gibbs will be the ultimate NASCAR villain in the Cup Series in 2023. 19. Issues related with the Next Gen car will be very limited in 2023. 20. Ryan Preece will do better than Cole Custer in the 41 car. 21. Trackhouse Racing continues their dominance. 22. Austin Cindric wins at least two races in 2023. 23. NASCAR announces even more changes with the 2024 NASCAR schedule.

Your prediction on Bubba I disagree with. I know he was preforming well during the second half of the season but i feel like after his win at Kansas he was starting to drop off in performance again. So I don’t think he will preform like he did in the 2nd half of the season. That’s just my opinion tho.

I disagree on North Wilkesboro, I remember Earnhardt v Rudd, and of course Petty v Allison, the revitalization of North Wilkesboro is important for NASCAR reconnecting with some of it's older fans like myself, and North Wilkesboro doesn't race anything like any of the other tracks, it's more like IRP (now ORP) than anything else. If what they are doing down in Wilkes County takes hold it will be a spot on the schedule that everyone looks forward to. Also the close ties to legends Junior Johnson & Benny Parsons and the moonshine running heritage will make a great trek for any NASCAR fan who wants to know about NASCAR & it's origins, in a way the NASCAR Hall of Fame cannot do justice to. I personally would be devastated if this ends up being a one off event, with as much time & energy I put into getting NASCAR back there, also to the community of Wilkes County residents. I understand you are looking at this from a post 1996 perspective, but I am trying to show the perspective of a long time NASCAR fan. North Wilkesboro pre-dates Martinsville, so if Martinsville is Fenway Park, then North Wilkesboro is Wrigley Field, and fans attending the race will not be able to get that experience anywhere else, and with Dale Jr and all the drivers excited for it, I am anticipating something very special, Field of Dreams type stuff, dream big.

Denny Hamlin will surpass Junior Johnson in wins, becoming the winningest Cup driver without a championship. Noah Gragson will become a huge Cup star, maybe with one win, but with a few memorable moments. Trackhouse will still do well, but will regress from 2022. Tyler Reddick will make it to the Final Four. Once again a Hendrick driver will have the most wins, top 5s, top 10s, and regular season championship, but will not win the Cup.

Watch Ty Gibbs be the next Dale Earnhardt. 7 titles is pretty much the max I think even with this format. Even if he doesn't necessarily have the same success, his attitude will draw some comparisons!

NEVER was a Kyle Busch fan. Well, until last year. The way he was cast aside by Gibbs made me like him. I now have him as my third favorite after Harvick and Larson. I’d love to see Kyle Busch prove em all wrong.

Team Owners need to DEMAND way more of the TV Bag. There's NO reason for a successful Xfinity team like Jr Motorsports to not have made the jump to Cup. But it shows how bad it is right now.
