1. Sri Murugan Cafe: Their Sambar Vadai, Cashew Uthappam and Vada Curry are must haves. Their South Indian lunch is equally good. A busy place but you don't have to wait for the seats and the service is quick.

2. Sri Sai Ram Coffee Bar: One of the best coffee places in Pondy, that serves the South Indian Filter Coffee at it's best. The taste of the filter coffee will linger on your palate for a while after you consume it.

3. Le Petit Four: Pondy has plenty of Boulangeries and Pattisseries, but this place will blow your mind with their pastry and dessert options. Visit their new shop which is located in a colonial French bungalow for a great French dessert experience.

4. R. K Juice Centre: If you are craving for a Nannari Sharbat, this is the place. Their plain Nannari Sharbat made with Nannari syrup and lemon, garnished with Sabja seeds is hearty. However, their Paal Sharbat is the star attraction. Made with Nannari Syrup, Badam gum, Sabja Seeds etc., it is a splendid summer drink.

Fellow vegetarian here from Tiruvannamalai. I’ve always avoided Coromandel Cafe during my visits considering it to be too touristy and over-rated! Maybe I’ll try it next time I’m there! Thanks for the detailed reviews! 🙏 A bit surprised you didn’t review Baker Street. May I also recommend Chez Artizan & PY Cafe. Do try it next time!

Your video was a welcome addition to the food vlogs already on KZfaq. I am regularly watching the Tamil language BANANA LEAF UNLIMITED by one Manoj Kumar with his wife and two sons. He gives the prices of each item he shows and also tells a few points about the origin and growth over the years for every joint he visits. In Hindi I have seen the vlogs by one Harish Bali. For those who can understand Hindi his food reviews are very good.

Mysore bonda made from urad Dal ( Black Gram ) In Mangalore made from Maida it's called Goli baje.

Mysore Bonda recipe has variations and the most common version is Maida based which is similar to Goli Baje. Only in TN, I 've seen Mysore bonda made with Urad dal. Agree, you should tuck the mic to your shirt. Not only it will allow you to enjoy the food freely but also allow you to express your self better. The voice is still good when the mic is tucked to your shirt.

The ambience was very poor in Indian Coffee House. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The most significant issue I encountered was the hotel's poor ventilation system. From the moment I entered the hotel, there was a persistent and unpleasant eggy smell in the air.

Oh that was unfortunate. This Indian Coffee House in Pondy is the only vegetarian ICH outlet, I think.

You can try at Dilliwala 6, Shree Balaji Mess, Jiyo Veg Restaurant. They are not completely Jain restaurants but offer some Jain food.

Most of these places in Pondicherry city are French patisseries and very rare to find egg less options. However, if you visit Auroville, you will get couple of Vegan/Eggless options like Auroville Bakery, Dreamer's Cafe- Visitors Center etc.,
