It's amazing to see someone be so excited about ob/gyn. I didn't enjoy that rotation and almost passed out when I saw a vaginal birth lol. But your passion is so intense, it almost made me miss those days. When you find your passion something just clicks. Happened to me with plastic surgery

So amazing to see how much you love OBGYN! Being a first time mom I can’t express how important it is to have a great, kind and passionate doctor by your side when you’re delivering your baby. You’re going to be a great doctor! :)

I just rotated in this department for two months ago, able to deliver 3 babies and learn episiorraphy. Its been a great consideration for me for residency training 🥰 I love the ObGyn environment.

I’ve been out Rachel for about 3 months. Illness. Let me say ur Soyulent drink saved my life. At this point in ur education ur routine is chaotic as compared to before. It’s not that u r losing info ur just taking it in in a different way. Practical info really shines when ur physically doing something. Don’t panic. Ur brain and body will adjust and u will find ur absorptive rate for info is back on top. Keep marching on ur almost at the finish line. So glad ur choosing OBGYN. Don’t be suprised if ur residency brings u right back to where u r now.

I have always wanted to work with children which is why I am going for pediatric radiology, HOWEVER, you are making me consider OBGYN!!! You are such an inspo I LOVE your videos. At 12:49 , I was like 7 months is a lot of time to study. Then, I remembered I have to write and defend an ENTIRE thesis in these 7 months and my heart jumped out of my mouth lol.

Hi rachel. You're reflection is amazing. Born to do this, all the efforts you have to make, all the events youve gone through before becomimg a med student...You are already a doctor and grown up! Just take experience with you and you will be later remembered by a lot of parents as the doc who delivered their baby. You go Rachel!!

When I was in college 40 years ago I wanted to be a doctor. Life took me in another direction. Now at the end of my career I am so excited for you knowing your purpose. It took me longer and it was not what I originally thought but the knowing feeling is the same. Thx for sharing.

As first year med student that’s very interested in ob/gyn, I’m really living for these videos! They make me so happy :) Question for you!! I’ve heard a lot of negativity regarding the rough hours and work/life balance of this specialty. I haven’t shadowed an ob/gyn, so I don’t have any first hand experience, but what’s been your opinion on that thus far? Have you noticed this stereotype is true, and if so, has that influenced your decision?
