Things You Missed In These Disney Movies!
Did you spot all of these hidden details in Disney live-action movies? There was a special appearance in Cruella, a Little Mermaid moment in Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, and secrets hidden in music boxes in Beauty and the Beast. Disney Princess dresses snuck their way into the background of one scene in Cinderella, and Aladdin was full of easy to miss moments, with everyone from the Genie to Magic Carpet getting in on the action.
Hidden details in costumes can make all the difference. Pay close attention to Mulan, Maleficent, Aurora and the Mad Hatter’s wardrobes. You also might not have noticed that some of Emma Stone’s fashion moments as Cruella de Vil were more similar to another actress who played the iconic Disney villain.
Disney films that have yet to get live-action remakes also get shout outs. For example, there are tons of 101 Dalmatians references in Cruella, and a Hunchback of Notre Dame reference in Beauty and the Beast. Lion King went way back to the original to give Timon an even better performance of one of the film’s best songs, and The Jungle Book reused a prop from the original in the live-action version. @VioletNo it's not that dark. And it was the first time my parents watched a movie completely sitting with me. The movie is so vibrant. And Emma's incredible acting makes it so entertaining

Personally, I thought the pacing was sometimes weird and it was a tad cliche, but it was definitely the most beautiful live action movie I’ve seen! Loved the costumes to bits.

Not being a remake and doing something actually new really helped that movie... and I agree, the remakes aren't great. I like the Cruella approach - it's clear they wanna do the 101 Dalmations story in a sequel, but we don't know how it'll pan out due to Cruella being a dog lover in her movie... and I like that! If we do get the 101 Dalmations story it'll be a NEW version of the story and not a retelling It's like they kickstarted a new franchise inspired by an old one - which is far better than just remaking a movie with all the same story beats and almost no changes.

I like to think that cruella 2021 was more of a reimagining or AU of cruella instead of a direct prequel to the og movie, so i guess that's why i really liked it!

Emma stone is an amazing actress. I love her, she nailed her role in cruella. It just comes to show how good of an actress she is and she proved it with this movie, not that she had anything to prove 🤩

Here’s another hidden gem from the Live action The Lion King. When Timon and Pumpa are trying to distract the Hyenas so that Simba could face Scar. They don’t sing the song from the original animated film but rather the beginning but soon interrupted from the hyenas who starts to chase them, Be Our Guest from Beauty And The Beast. When you were talking about the dresses inspired by Disney princesses I saw purple as a collar on a dress black in the middle and blue on the bottom and in the middle it had designs from frozen so I think that dress is inspired by princess Anna from frozen.

The fact a Jungle book scene where they were climbing the tree roots and stuff and a Winnie the pooh scene where Basically Peter I think or Tom was doing the same thing with rocks and tree roots that are in the animated movie were actually the exact same movements they were both doing. MINDBLOWN

I honestly loved this movie and honestly find some of the arguments made against it ridiculous. I have a problem with the whole "dalmations killed my mom argument" which some people are making. Although yes, technically the dogs did result in Catherines death it was the baroness who killed her really. It goes back to when the baranoness told cruella about obstacles, she saw catherine as an obstacle and one that she had to 'overcome' and that is how she did it. I mean, it was made abundantly clear that the baroness although a genius was a complete and utter psychopath who had unwavering love for her work and only work. She would be impeaded by nobody. Another grievance i have is the argument of "this backstory doesn't justify her literally skinning dogs" No i doesn't- because this isn't directly tied to the previous itterations of Cruella, she doesn't skin dogs, in fact she loves them. The point im making is, this movie doesn't attempt to justify cruella; it instead reshapes cruella and makes her very different from the original. This is actually something i heavily appreciate as it truly diversifies itself compared to other disney remakes. The average disney remake preys on nostalgia without actually creating enough new material to warrant its existence. And i have to commend Cruella on not doing that, it completely diversifies its self from the original and is mostly comprised of new material and makes its own story.

Very good points! I def agree! I feel like all the people who loved it were the ones who saw it as it’s own movie, and the people who didn’t like it saw it as a reiteration or prequel of 101 Dalmatians.

I think Cruella was the best movie this year 2021 and it has made me less bored and more creative in a way.. The movie brings great memories and the costumes where great. Emily Stone did a fabulous job with movement and face expressions and her voice!! She pulled it off amazing, I hope she wins a award for great acting and I hope the movie wins too.

I have never seen Lifeboat.:-O:-O:-O:-(:-( I love that music box scene in the Live action Beauty and the Beast. I caught the original 1961 and 1995 Anita nod.:-):-D Yay. I wish Mushu was in the live actin remake of Mulan.I wouldn't have to bite the men's butts in the movie.He could just swim underwater.He would feed her rice and tell Mulan to kick their butts.Wow.
