this video starts with a concerned farmer worried that a sick cow could be attacked during the night by a fox that has been seen hanging around. I head out to see if I can deal with this fox and put the farmer's mind at ease.
up early a few days later and I'm out thinning out some crows ,rabbits and steel targets around the farm...

260rips Thanks!! Some more question;) what do You think about Tikka T3x lite adjustable barrel ? Is it medium heavy one or something completely different than varmint barrel? I want some fox, roe deer gun and I'm considering tikka. I want to push distance a bit further and I'm searching for some nice scope as well. Could You recommend me something ( parameter of magnification ?) Thanks mate!

A great bit of shooting, as a sub 12ftlb air rifle shooter my furthest ranges are sub 60y and can only imagin the chalenges of 400y+ shots. I have been catching up on your past videos and reading the comments, the ones that make me laugh are normally from the fur huggers or those who dont understand what these pest species do to our native animals,landscapes and livelyhoods. Maybe a disclamer upfront warning of whats about to be shown and an explanation in a sticky in the top comments, something like squirrel hunter or Teds holdover. Keep up the great work and looking forward to the next session.

Hi mark after a little advice. Ive just had a drone x10 and fitted to my .22-250. Zeroed it at 100 yards and whatever i shoot at past 100yds im going over the top off everything. Anything ive done wrong? New to night vision. Ta mate. Rob
@260rips
@260rips 7 жыл бұрын
Robert Walker hi rob best bet is to try it at various ranges during the day on paper and see where it's going. Could be more the way your shooting for example if you zero off a bipod then shoot at stuff off sticks or a fence post and the rifle may recoil differently throwing the round slightly higher. It's best to shoot at targets the same as you would when hunting and see what's happening 👍

@260rips 6 жыл бұрын
Nigel Buxton Excellent well done 😉 I'd zero at 100 yards for a centrefire. If you look at the strelok app you will find the ballistics for the drone for hold overs at various ranges. Did you get an ir from nightvisiongear when you got your drone? Id recommend either the one from nightvisiongear.co.uk or one of the rangers from pbir.co.uk. I'd also recommend buying the batteries for the drone online as you will find it much cheaper! If you wish to record footage I would suggest getting an angel eye recorder from maplin which is comparable with the drone.

Justin Martin Yes mate but never hand loaded only in factory ammunition. I always Used the A-max which are basically the same as the V-max until the A-max were discontinued. I now use the Hornady eld-x 143 grain bullets

Awesome video Mark! I am a bit disappointed with Paddy for leaving your bolt on the wrong side, maybe a refund is in order? ;-) All the best, Ash

Like the video , what is the furthest you have shot a fox at night using the drone pro 10x . Less shooting mags , more you-tube please lol

James Smith The great thing with nv is it allows you to close the distance on a fox quite easily so ranges are usually around 100 yards. I've shot a couple around 300 in the past but that's about it

James Smith You won't regret it mate they are excellent. If you can stretch the budget a thermal spotter is a massive advantage to night shooting. I think Scott country are now doing one for around £1200 which looks very good value, I'll see if I can borrow one for review on here soon 👍

James Smith The only one would be the core which works well for both but it's not that quick to fit to the scope in the dark. I still prefer to shoot with Nightvision 👍
