I talk to Jerry and Simon, residents in Lincolnshire, England, that are to be surrounded by 27000 acres of industrial solar panels soon to be built on prime farm land. This is happening everywhere!

@@killingtime4250 solar panels have to be replaced often, require a lot of maintenance, create heat around them, kill birds, they’re nowhere near as effective as nuclear, creating them in mass has wrecked huge portions of land (see the effects it’s had on Mongolia for one example), energy transmission from them has a huge loss rate, and you have to store that energy in massive batteries that are also destructive to produce. And they could just as well be placed on buildings and not destroy needed farm land to reduce loss in transmission and storage. Just some food for thought.

But, but, but nature. Who owns the land? Follow the money….
@clairedelune1431
@clairedelune1431 Ай бұрын
We all own it collectively. It's very important people start to realise this. No one can own a piece of land, we all own all of the land collectively. You can own a building that you built yourself or bought using your hard earned money, but you are only a custodian of the land. When people wake up to this, they can start claiming it back. Farmers are onoy entitled to use the land while they are benefiting the population with food supplies. If they don't want to farm it, they should sell it to another farmer, not sell out to the WΕF αgenda.

My parents had solar panels fitted to their home - life changing fire at the property, and before the fire brigade could start tackling the blaze they had to have the engine with the ladder and basket so they could secure and cover the solar panels “to protect them”. People died in this house fire and then the problems we’ve had selling the remains of the house because of the panels is ridiculous. As my parents actually sold the are above their home to the company . I sure they didn’t have a clue. Moral of the story is if you have solar panels and have a fire time will be wasted that could save your life

When you say "to protect them", I assume you're referring to the firemen? Because this is also the reason they can't tackle EV fires beyond spraying the car with water, because the car chassis could be electrified and any contact with 400V DC from the car batteries will result in additional casualties.

And as confirmed by our own neighbourly solar park asset manager, a major legacy issue with all these (highly energy inefficient, without factoring in UK weather) panels that currently don’t have a recycle option and are getting towards the end of their useful life. Akin to the uranium legacy. Neither very green I’m afraid to say, but no more than I would expect from the House of Clowns. Chin up Richard, keep plugging away where it counts and rumble it is then.

Peeps might need to wake up and look at the financial instrument created and signed for to 'pay' the farmers. The money will come from the equity of the land and or the Cestui Que Vui Trust of the farmer. RV has covered the CQV Trust in other vids. It will be a bond writing exercise for a large profit. The panels are almost an excuse for the real target of shutting down farming and asset stripping the wealth.

Cover the rooftops of all commercial buildings and much of the car parks with panels by all means, you can’t see them on the flat roofs largely and they would provide a dry walking area in large car parks as many are 100-200m from the shop entrances. Or is that too logical? We must not rely on imported food, imagine if there was a full blown war in Europe? We would be screwed after a month, NO TO SOLAR IN FARMLAND, PERIOD as the Americans always say…😀

The guidance encourages the development of solar projects on brownfield, contaminated, industrial, and lower-quality agricultural land instead of high-grade farmland . Farmers have to get consent from the solar panel company, then they may graze short term in order to keep the grass down around the bases. There are multiple other restrictions - the photos are not representative

@@Jen-mf9rm Won’t need grazing land for animals soon ! A British company has announced that it will begin selling artificial chicken to pet-food producers this year, making Britain the first country in Europe to commercialize ‘lab-grown’ meat. Owen Ensor, the CEO and co-founder of the start-up firm Meatly, said on Wednesday that the business has received approval for its products from the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) and the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. Meatly was able to capitalize on a window of opportunity created by Brexit, which freed the UK from EU regulations. It also benefited from the recent government focus on biotech and innovation, which saw its cultivated meat get the greenlight, Ensor told the Financial Times. According to the entrepreneur, the “very exciting” thing about the approval is that “it shows the intention of the UK to be positioned as a leader in these new innovative fields and in food technology.” Israel approves sale of world’s first lab-grown beef READ MORE: Israel approves sale of world’s first lab-grown beef The deputy director of food policy at UK’s Food Standards Agency, James Cooper, said the organization “welcomes innovations by the animal feed sector for using alternative materials such as cell-cultivated products (CCP) if this is done safely and as required by law.” Ensor believes pet food will become the natural starting point for the cultivated meat market in Britain. A Meatly spokesperson told Just Food website that, despite the company currently being “primarily focused on pet food,” its processes and products are safe and healthy for humans. “We will likely license our industry-leading technology to human food companies,” they said. Meatly, which has so far raised £3.5 million ($4.6 million) from investors including US venture capital firm Agronomics and UK pet-food retailer Pets at Home, said it expects to reach industrial volumes within the next three years. According to the spokesperson, the company will now try to establish itself in the US, Canadian, and EU markets “for pet food initially.” The cultivated or cultured meat, which is made from animal cells grown in vats, is currently approved for human consumption in the US, Singapore, and Israel. Opponents of cultivated meat argue that its long-term health effects have not yet been studied, that it puts livestock in danger, and that it requires so much energy to produce that it would end up doing more ecological damage than animal farming.

Pv panels should be on roofs not on arable land. Cows, sheep and crops should be in fields.
