Fun trivia as a former teppanyaki chef for 30 years... we make sure the body parts of the same prawn are served together, as is ancient Japanese custom. One prawn's body isn't matched with another prawns legs for example, which would be hideous. It takes incredible mental focus.

I wanna say a good 40-50% of the cost was the steak. The way wagyu beef is grown makes for a premium price, especially if it is imported from Japan. I love that they bring out the lobster to meet you while it's still alive at the end. Like, "Hello, my name is Chad and I'll be your lobster tonight," and then they take it in the back and chop it up. But not until after you've properly met!

I’ve seen several other videos you’ve done with fine dining and teppanyaki that I personally didn’t think was worth the price, but this one was fantastic!!! IMO - Just watching him butterfly, devein, prepare and present the prawns and scallops was impressive enough for this experience to be worth the price!!! I was a short order cook when I was younger, worked my way up to full menu cook and then went to culinary school in my late 20’s ... this chef is impressive! If I ever get to visit this is definitely going on my bucket list. 😊🥰✌🏻

@@cupcake_whale Fine dining to me is getting the chance to experience what the pinnacle of flavor is. Basically you're eating something, someone has trained for years and source what they think the best ingredients are and transforming it into something delicious. Tasting menus are generally small multi course meals. That being said, you aren't going to feel stuffed like you would at a cheaper diner, but you definitely aren't leaving hungry. Gluttony sometimes isn't the answer. This isn't to say that everyday foods aren't delicious. A good burger is something to die for.
