great video. btw the online chilton library says the torque spec for the 2023 prius oil pan drain plug is 27 in.lbf.

A note about a controversial thing: The Car Care Nut, a Toyota Master technician, strongly recommends oil changes by 5000 miles. The issue is scuffing of the cylinder walls. Our 2014 maintenance schedule says 10K miles, but the reminder goes off at 5K. I'm just a retired DIYer, so don't take my opinions seriously.

This was a great DIY instructional video. I couldn't even find anything close to this on Prius Chat. Prius Chat is more like all meat (let the dealership handle it) and no potatoes (do it yourself if you can and save time, money, and know that the job has been done right). Nice to know info, so thanks for sharing and keep up the good work.

The 2023 Prius has many changes - including a different type of battery… here you’re working on a 2020 Prius… are you sure the 2023 is the same procedure?
