Yes it did made it up that pretty well, and after changing the tires this is my kind of driving slow and controlled that’s where a lot of the fun is yeah 👍👍😎

Right on Matt, I love my FCX 24s they are great right out of the box my power wagon the first I love the stock tractor tires I put a set of the brass inner rings just in the front did the same with the other two brass rings in my rock Van works great Yep back watching again love this video man really appreciate you 👍👍😎 I have 6FCX 24s still stock servo I’ve had no problems if it ain’t broke don’t need to fix it yet but my red power wagon oh it did finally popped the front driveshaft I replaced with steel driveshaft front and back First thing I’m doing for my K5

great video! good running. im so glad to have got mine, working on some bumpers, interior, etc. i don't mind the bearings. my power wagon with bearings is sloppy and crusty and this new truck is butter smooth but well see how long that lasts lol

Unlike the scx24, the fcx24 has a lot more torque, which is why the driveshaft went. Excellent comparison and can't wait to see what you do weight wise and accessories

I waited all that time of having no fcx24 to finally get this one I can’t wait! Pretty bummed about the back window not being there but I also like the topper anyway. What I came to say was your always the first one to break something haha and great running footage with rims and tires 10/10 video

Looks so good it made me take my FCX24 s back to the rocks and enjoy it again. I forgot how good these trucks are. About the Traxxas comments, sad to hear the version of "big company suing small manufacturers that want to make parts for their trucks", instead of the true one about the use of their name on their products and the guidance they provided recently for those sellers about how to do things correctly...

I really haven’t researched what happened much. Just what I heard from some of the guys who got their website taken down. Their main source of income taken away due to Traxxas contacting their website providers before them. Some guidance. I just think Traxxas is big enough they could just go on without causing all this drama. Contact the companies and give them some time to make the changes needed if you really wanna worry about it. They are greedy turds and that’s all it is imo but I don’t really have anything to do with it so it don’t matter to me. Just seems kinda petty to me.

Nice footage! I went big tire and Furitek chassis on my power wagon. I have the orange K5 preordered and got some brass Treal parts ordered. I got some Injora wheels and want to run the Proline Swampers but they are out of stock everywhere!

Thanks! I wanna put the Swampers on mine! Just didn’t like the wheels I have them mounted on for this truck so I guess I’ll be swapping them. I love the Swampers though and I think they’ll be a great size for this truck plus look great.

I have some really good mini crawlers but I love the look of the Blazer I have the exact same one with brass & metal beadlocks & Injora tires. Like you wher saying in another video the welelbase needs to be longer I’m wondering if you could just do it yourself with longer links & longer drive shafts.

They did the same thing with the back window on the Smasher. The rear window "glass" is there, just like it is with the K5, but no opening. I cut mine open and it makes a world of difference in the looks. Doing a full Bigfoot conversion with my Smasher.

FMS really does well on their body's that's for sure! The tires and wheels you put on the K5 really help it look more in proportion. Owning both the FCX24 and TRX4M I think the FMS definitely edge out TRAXXAS In terms of value for money and I like the FMS axles more! Both are capable trucks, bit I say FCX24 for the win!

Same here! It’s not that I don’t like the Trx4m but I just prefer the fcx a little more. Like you mentioned the portals are nice and the two speed is amazing! Especially for a scale truck like this.

Amazing how this Chevy K5 handles well. I feel tempted to get the same. On my FCX24, i replaced the heavy body by the Atlas 6x6 one : same size, same model truck, lexan (stronger), lighter (minus 30gr), and performances rose up. When it flips, no heart attack.😇Would it be possible to find the same K5 body out of Lexan ?

I love the bronco I have two of the SCX 24 broncos the red one and a light gray Didn’t need another bronco that’s why I didn’t get that one I also love my SCX 24s but the FCX 24s is becoming my favorites

I didn't need a whole other truck so I just purchased the body and all the bits to complete it, I like the k5 way more than the power wagon I also have a v1 fcx24 with the remote with dip switches.

What tires did you switch to from stock? It looks way better with whatever they are! I just ordered this as my first rc car ever. I'm excited to get into the hobby. Is this truck waterproof too? I couldn't get a solid answer anywhere I looked. Just said shallow water. Where as the Traxxas I've seen damn near under water lol.

I bought the trx4m for indoor driving, when the weather isn´t nice. I bought it for the fact, that it had big aftermarket support and it will be a keeper for a long time. The legal situation makes me very sad to be honest...

From what I understand Traxxas isn't suing for companies to not make parts but just to change their wording to theirs parts that are for Traxxas vehicles to compatible with traxxas and not for Traxxas. Wording like that so ppl don't think their 3rd party parts are made by Traxxas and if no good ppl blame them. Makes sense to protect what you have built.

Yeah I agree after hearing more. They still should’ve went about it better imo. Some people got their websites completely shut down because Traxxas just contacted their provider before even give them notice. Traxxas has always sucked as a company though so it’s no surprise to me. Good thing they make some killer basher trucks or they’d been out of the hobby a long time ago lol

Power wagon for a crawler build, k5 for a trail build.

Like the other comment says. I’d definitely go power wagon for more of a crawler build and the K5 for a trail truck. You can change the body on either and go whichever way you prefer. Both the same exact truck underneath.

What oil do you use in the FMS shocks? I’ve been having problems with them getting super sticky after I oil them.

To prevent leaks you should apply green slime on the shocks o-rings.. you can get green slime from any hobby shops and it's pretty cheap.

Question, I'm just starting out, literally got the first trucks for myself and my kids on Sunday so forgive me if this sounds stupid; the Bronco is 1/18 and the Blazer is 1/24, but it seems like the only real difference in size is about 10mm in length. Why isn't the Bronco visibly much larger? Like the difference between the FMS K10 and SCX24 C10 is noticeably different in size.

First off…. Welcome to the hobby! That’s sort of a question we all wanna know lol. These companies have been all over the place with their scales lately. There really should be more difference between them. The Blazer is more 1/18 but they call it 1/24 for whatever reason lol

Trying to decide which small crawler to get as my first (possibly only). Hobby plus trail hunter TRX4m Or a fcx24 I've kinda given up on the scx24 now because it seems expensive for what you get. Enduro24 didn't look very exciting. This will be for indoor crawling when the littles have gone to bed .... Don't seem to have time for my 10th scales anymore 😆

Cr18p or fcx24 I recommend the performance and parts are better. I have the scx24 and the trx4m and a 10 scale trx4. I love my big one but once in for $800+ and not being able to use it from breakage made me change to small scale. The scx24 is good but needs some work shortly out of the box or after using. Trx4m is good looking but not the best performance compared to fcx or trail hunter in my opinion

The Hobby Plus CR18p or the FCX24 is what I would go with. I would lean to the FMS since it does have more aftermarket. The TRX4M is a nice trail rig but I have much better time crawling outside with the portal axles. The SCX24 is starting to get outdated since most agree the motor and servo is bad in those.

Yeah don't get an scx24, they're getting REALLY boring after a while and the tiny screws are a pain in the ass.

Are you planning to build a course or just crawl the couch etc? The Fcx24s are a great place to start and so is the t Hunter but it and the K5 are both a bit larger so if running on a course you’ll need to make sure they’ll fit well. I like that the fcx has all Allen head screws vs the T hunter with the Phillips screws. The two speed in the fcx makes it much more enjoyable for just random playing also. Running indoors can be a lot more fun when you can slap it in high and whip it around the living room floor etc. I would almost have to go with the fcx just because of the variety of fun you can have. Great slow crawl and the two speed transmission. Something very thrilling about slapping it in high to make a tough hill climb!

@@2fmrc I've been 3d printing desktop terrain so I can have a modular course. It seems the fcx24 is definitely the way to go, I think I'll grab the power wagon version, I know there's some bodies on thingiverse that I can rescale so the body style is not that much of an issue. The features on it sound great and seems like the quality is there.

Shopping tires for my pre order now. Stock is 55 you are running 57....What size do you think you could get away with before rubbing too much?

I’m gonna try a few sets today and maybe make a short video on tires for it so keep an eye out! I’ve had a lot of people asking that question so I figure it’ll be best to just show some different tires on it. Anything specific you are thinking about? If I have them I’ll show them!

What he said! I'm noobish and am going to buy an FCX24 through your aff. links... Just wish you had some aff. links for batts and chargers, as well as simple RC beginner vids/ lipo safety and tips. I know this takes a lot of your time to make these vids, all of us appreciate it! Also hope you make some $$ for all of the work you're putting in!!

At 25:15 you made a inacurate statement about Traxxas. They are not suing any manufactures. They asked for manufactures and vendors to use the correct verbiage on websites regarding sales of parts for Traxxas vehicles...

Yeah it was just based on what I had heard at that point. I’m not a news source lol. Traxxas was willing to go that far though and handled it pretty crappy imo. People’s websites were shut down etc without even giving them time to make changes. Traxxas sucks as a company and that’s just that. If they didn’t make great bashers they’d be out of the hobby already.

I feel like the biggest downside to the FMS is the short wheelbase especially on steep obstacles

Yeah and you can’t really stretch this one like we did the power wagon. Won’t fit the body too well.

Just buy the body and pop it in on any facx24 chassis or max smasher..lol everything the same from last time lol😅

Yep! They’ll be available eventually. Same as all the scx24s they released. Just swap a body and it’s all the same. At least the base truck is much more solid.
