For the next four videos on InRange, we're shooting the CETME-L rifles that we hand built ourselves using an HMG builder's kit.
This really is the test of our work, will the guns run? Are they reliable? Accurate? Also, what's the CETME-L like to use on the clock? That's what these 2G-ACM stages were used for to find out.
If you didn't see our multi-part series in which we built these rifles from parts kits, check it out: www.full30.com...

One thing I would like to note about scopes and sights in general. My unit in Afghanistan was issued ACOG scopes right before we deployed, a lot of people had trouble hitting anything with them but kept them because that is what we had, I went back to the Red dot sight, the M68 CompM4. We found that for anything 300 meters or less, I was much fast at hitting my targets and more accurate in most fire fights because you only have to look at the dot and not try and get a proper sight picture. In addition, I could shoot with both eyes open that allowed for me to find targets easier. I am seeing a lot of the same problems here with the scope, it is just too much for most combat situations other than mountains and deserts.

OMG! The best intro ever XD I love the detail of "mierda escondida" CETME is the cronym for "Centro de Estudios Tecnicos y Materiales especiales" wich is something like "Center of technical Studies ans special materials" but spanish soldiers realised tha CETME can also mean "Cada Esquina Tiene Mierda Escondida" wich means "Each Corner Has hidden Sh+t" because it was very difficult keep the rifle cleans and the iterrumtions were frecuently.

Very cool video guys. I love the excitement that you guys are getting from shooting and competing with firearms you built. I've been through a couple AK builds myself and it is almost impossible to explain to most people the feeling of successfully using a firearm that you built with weld, heat, sweat,(blood? Usually some...), and your nogin. I haven't competed with my builds and I can imagine that's even another level of enjoyment. Good deal and keep it up.

The correct way to hit the deck with this rifle is... 1. Run. Holding guard and thin part of the stock. 2. Small jump land with both feet spreed same height. 3. You bend you knees. Slam/place the bottom point/angle of the stock into the ground. 4. Throw you legs back so your balanced on tips of toes and the point of the stock 5. Stock goes to arm and your in firing position. To get up you put stock angle ground to help get up.

Ian, is there a reason you haven't gone down to Home Depot and picked up a pair of countersunk or low profile allen bolts the same size and thread of the mounting bolts and used those to affix the scope so that you get you iron sights back? From the looks of the build video, countersunk bolts would give you just enough extra clearance to make the irons usable again. If you can't get an allen key into the sight assembly to tighten it, try a 1/4" socket driver.

At the beginning of November, the CETME C and the rest of the rifles converted to semi-automatic mode for sale to the civilian market will be practically prohibited after a modification of the Spanish Arms Regulations. These weapons cannot be sold or transferred, and in the event that their owners lose their licenses, these rifles will be destroyed. And magazines with a capacity of more than ten cartridges are now prohibited and must be delivered to police stations where they will be confiscated without compensation. Part of our gun history will be lost, and the shooters will become quasi-criminals. I have a CETME C "civilian" with which I remember my times of military service and I am really sad.
