Just recently stumbled across your channel and am a new subscriber. Our oldest son (Titus) is the same age as your Timothy. But, we’re about to start 2nd grade since he has a birthday almost at the end of the year. … I have a 5yo and a newborn as well. I’m finding your videos really helpful with you giving tips on add ons and just hearing your general opinions on the materials. Thanks! Oh- and we love MFW as well!

This was so fun. Thanks for sharing. I always go back and forth about trying MFW. It’s the curriculum that I wanted to start out with but the cost kept me from going with it. I still consider it and we’re in our 9th year. I do take and have used many of their components like geography though. Just subscribed. I also have a channel mainly about homeschooling and it would be fun to be friends and connect here 😊

Hey Erin, how do you homeschool multiple children with a baby? I’ll be homeschool grade 1 & jk with a 1 year old in September and I’m not sure what kind of schedule to create !

Hello! This video was filmed a year ago in 2023. My kids are now 9, 6, 4. But when they were younger 1. School was shorter 30-60 minutes 2. We often schooled during or right after meal times since they would be busy and already sitting 3. For the toddler stage I'd keep them busy with coloring, puzzles, stickers, play-doh, or Kinetic sand Hope this helps 😊

Also wanted to add...it may not seem like it ... but it all goes by so fast. As they get older it does get easier.

Were the read aloud a choices you made or suggest by MFW?

The first 5 I showed were included in the curriculum. Some of the others were recommended in the back of the teachers manual. The One and Only Ivan my daughter picked off our book shelf and the Heartwood hotel series are fairly new and I heard about them somewhere and wanted to try them. And a few others I just thought they looked good 😊

Would you recommend doing Adventures even if older siblings in cycle?

@@day502222 I think if I were you, I'd just do the family cycle and do it all together as a family. Do the math and language arts on the 2nd grade level and then history, science, and Bible all together. Hope that helps, just my 2 cents.
