Biggie's lyrics had flow, had bite, and appetite to deliver whatever it was you had coming. But Pac's craft had poetry that touched every aspect of life, had passion, was potent, had depth, and when called upon had incredible levels of venom. the delivery was from the pit of his stomach and it transcended social, political, and spiritual issues. Hip hop always did that but nobody did it as powerful as Pac.

Much respect to these 3 legends. All three are the epitome of old school hip hop. REAL MC’s. That being said, lyrically speaking… just lyrics… Big L is easily the best of the three and it’s almost undebatable with biggie coming in a close second. 2pac will forever be my favorite rapper but he was more of a poet than a music artist.

I think what he meant was Big L wasn’t as famous as Notorious B.I.G.. They both only had two album but Notorious B.I.G. was a lot more famous than Big L I think that’s what he meant by material.
