hello! im definitely no expert but one thing that helped my bacne inflammation (and some active spots) TREMENDOUSLY was using up my Cerave PM samples and now the La Roche Posay Lipikar AP+ Balm all over the affected areas right after a shower- usually like 10 minutes after! It doesn't have to be that specific product- it's just the niacinamide doing it's thing! My face didn't react well to the Cerave PM so I was super stoked that I could put it to good use. I don't know if it will help and don't want to guarantee it but it's worth a try? Also, make sure to clean off any shampoo/conditioner residue! ♥

Just ordered a few the ordinary products I've been saving up for. Hopefully, this will work out fine because my skin has been responding well to acids and the ordinary's niacinamide so far. I probably have around 20 pimples on my face currently. I am not wanting to go back on roaccutane as it is very harsh and only temporarily resolved my problem. So now I am heavily researching the ordinary products . Thanks for the video. I think I will try a few of these products .

Sometimes you need to use roaccutane twice so you can solve your problems with acne.. I have used it the first time for 7 months and the second time after maybe 4 months I used it for 8 months but it definitely helped a lot and I don't have acne at all. Try to talk to your dermatologist, they should have explained this in the beginning.

I find something that helps to moisturize my skin with some of these harsh products is putting on any moisturizer, and then rosehip seed oil on top of that. Apparently these oils don't really sink into your skin, they create a barrier to trap the moisturizer and sink it into your skin. I hope that makes sense, I've noticed a difference that way!

I desperately want to try out the AHA 30% one because I’ve seen it recommended by so many people and it seems like it would work miracles but I don’t want to risk forgetting to use sunscreen sometimes and then burning my skin since you need to wear sunscreen after using this. @zvamp

Kya Emiliani like it’s eva replied, it’s best at night. It also says that on the box/bottle instructions. I actually received it and used it for the first time last night. It is definitely strong and tingly and will sting if you put it on broken skin (avoid that). It does work overnight and over time that’s why it says once a week. I washed it off with cold water and a little bit of cleanser without acid in the ingredients. Then applied some moisturizer. That’s all I did for my night routine and my skins texture is slightly better already 😁 I got it for texture mostly. I watched her main video for it too! You should check it out to get the exact details

Z Vamp thank you so much for all this help!!! Your the first person to actual reply to any of my comments and this helped heaps! I also have super textured skin and occasionally get pimples so I do think I will try this one day. I actually ordered the ordinary niacinamide syrum so I’ll test to see how that goes too! Thanks for the help🥰

Kya Emiliani same here! I mostly get my monthly breakouts and oh my god the niacinamide+zinc is my faaavorite product. I truly believe it is CRACK for your face. I’m almost done with my bottle since I’ve been trying to be consistent with skin care and I had this stuff for a while but didn’t use it all the time. I pick my face for anything, not good, but the nia+zinc, i really brings down the swelling and redness down so quick. I’ve been getting rid of breakout aftermath so quickly lately because of it. I just now started getting more stuff like the AHA mask and I’m hoping it helps with texture cuz I can get the clear skin down but I’m hoping this helps with overall smoothness over time

I've been using TO's Niacinamide for the past 2 months and only recently it started breaking me out :( I stopped using it and my breakouts have finally calmed down. Unfortunately I can never predict these things! I did continue using Niacinamide for a few more weeks when I started breaking out, and it never got any better. So sad cuz I thought my skin would love Niacinamide, given the love it's gotten from so many people! Love the Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion and AHA 30% + BHA 2% though, I use both of them religiously

I personally switch between retinol and niacinamide as a serum stage every other day and use the AHA/BHA peeling once a week. You should start using retinol carefully as it is a very potent substance and can harm your skin if you don't patch test or jump into higher percentages quickly, but I did anyways because I am stupid lol, and luckily it caused no harm. The granactive retinoid 2% emulsion is pretty gentle from what I've heard so it might be it. I started using retinol once a week and slowly got to the point of using it every other day, I hope I am not damaging my skin lol. I wouldn't use them together, idk if you can do it but I like not to use too many actives at once, so I would use niacinamide one night and retinol the other like I said. Or you can use niacinamide in the morning too, I just recently started doing that because I used to use hyaluronic acid in the morning, it gives such a nice hydration, and I discover in one of other Cassandra's videos that you can use it with niacinamide so now I use hyaluronic acid serum and put niacinamide on top of it. So this is the way I use these products, I hope it makes sense and that it helps :)

Do you think it's possible to use these two at the same time? I was thinking about doing a niacinamide serum + granactive retinol 2% + The Body Shop Vitamin E night mask to make sure I get all the moisture I can get. According to the research I made, it seems this combo should do wonder, but I've never used retinoids before and have sensitive skin, so I was hesitating about that specific product (the niacinamide and Vitamin E mask work fine for me).

@@unrulycrow6299 Hey I don't use them together, I use niacinamide daily in the morning with hyarulonic acid and retinoid at night. I apply it after my toner for alternating between a 2 day application and a 2 day gap. And I don't apply anything after it, not even the moisturizer as I'm afraid to use anything with retinol and also it's very moisturizing itself and my skin can't tolerate even a slightest of heaviness despite being dry. Working great so far.

Hey Cassandra , would you say it is possible to make pores on our skin smaller in size? I am not talking about the acne kind of pores, I cleared my skin from it and it's great, but I consider my natural size of pores especially around nose or cheeks quite visible and rough even though there is no outbreaks on them. Is it genetic or is there a way to smoothen the skin even more? And so cool what you're doing in your videos, really thanx for the meaningful content!

Queen Dee the granuated emulsion is more of a cream/lotion texture and is oil free, so its better for ppl who cant tolerate oils on their skin or have oily skin. the one in squalane is good for combating dryness that retinol can induce but is targeted for ppl with drier skin or ppl who can tolerate oils and the feeling of an oily product on their skin. so i think it just comes down to personal preference in finish and formulation
