Kia Ora! Today I list the 3 easy ways to bring waldorf principles into your home. You don’t need to go out and buy a whole lot of natural toys (although it is fun to do that), my belief is that it’s what you DO that is important.
It can be overwhelming when you want to bring in new routines or traditions, but don’t let that stop you. Keep it simple and fun is my motto! These three things are simple and you can totally make them fun. A good place to start for anybody looking for a way to add a waldorf flavour to their family.
Start the day with a morning song, add verse/song and candle with meals, and start to bring crafts into the home. Easy! You could almost not watch the video haha, but there are ways to do it I talk about and resources that are handy. If you are homeschooling or unschoolingyour children, some of this may be of interest as well.

Let me know how you get on. Like I say in the video, if you have any advice for parents new to waldorfy things as to where you think a good place to start would be, add it in the comments.

stef hohenadel cool! That’s good to hear. Making big changes can be pretty overwhelming, especially if you don’t an abundance of time and money. Starting simple and scaling up is the way to go. Good luck on your journey 💜

Hey, any tips for Waldorfing up for a teenager? I'm moving and being put into a Waldorf high school, but I haven't been in the system before, so I'd like to understand the system and facets better. It seems like a lot of info and content is geared towards younger kids (which isn't a problem but it can translate weirdly). I'd also really like to design my room in a "Waldorf" style with lots of natural wood, bright walls, and more natural light but I haven't found any good inspiration or anything. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Hey Leo, I’ve never been asked this before! Thanks for getting in touch. The main thing about Waldorf education, especially for teens, is that it should be preparing you for real life, not just the academic stuff, the practical skills as well. The intent of a Waldorf education is that you are able to become the best you you can be. We want students to be happy, and free human beings, comfortable in their individuality. When you leave hopefully you feel you have the skills and the self confidence to do what ever you have come to the earth to do. Incorporating an aesthetic or artistic aspect to all your project and subjects will be a big focus too. So making sure the things you create or assignments you do are beautiful. The vibe behind the ‘traditional’ Waldorf design and architecture is that it’s influenced by shapes and forms you find in the natural world. Look up anthroposophical architecture, and anthroposophical sculpture (not that you need to be an anthroposophist, but that will help you find the style I think you are talking about)There’s a whole philosophy behind it, but depending on you and where you are from, you can alter it all to suit who you are. In saying all that, your teachers and school will have its own vibe, because Waldorf education should reflect the students who go there. Ultimately enjoy the experience and don’t worry about being a newbie, more people join later than you would think. The teachers and students will be super welcoming and help you learn the ropes pretty quick. Good luck! Let me know if you have any more questions

Research Steiner's theories on race and what anthroposophy is. You can start with his book "the occult meaning of blood"
