oh my goodness x all the years i have been knitting x never knew this so that is my education for this week stored and gratefully appreciated ty hannah my shoulder seems will always be equal now x i spend hours going through the bar of each stitch when I make up my garment x this will make it more enjoyable x

Why not use a stitch marker at half of the stiches

Hi Carol, as the half-way point is only relevant for the casting off it's not really necessary for the rest of the knitting. And you have to separate them to finish, so you'll not be confused about the number of stitches once you're set up for 3-needle cast off. Happy knitting! 😍
