Until you find them on the apps you’re streaming through the box. Caleb at Digital Trends just published his predictions for the future of streaming, and let’s just say we’ll likely be getting more serving of exactly what we hoped to escape. And, FWIW, the Canadian peso price for these are $179 and $199 respectively - which is still far less than I paid for my first generation 4K with internet.

Worth it for the snappiness of the UI. Watching my parents fiddle with intergraded smart tvs and Roku has been awful. Slow and sluggish and tries to mix all the buying options which only confuses them for where to watch things.

With Ethernet, I’m getting 942 Mbps download and 940Mbps upload. On WiFi I’m getting 585 Mbps download and 596 Mbps upload. Hope this helps! I have Alta Fiber fioptics 1gbs plan

Android ”Tv” media boxes support Android devices and apps. Same with Apple. You cannot be shocked by this.

Unfortunately not. It’ll still produce a quality picture though. I also have one hooked up to a projector in my garage that I used to air play too for my golf simulator.

One thing that helps Apple TV 4K even if you're someone like us who don't have anything else within the Apple ecosystem, is that Apple is really streamlined with its interface, uses USB-Type C, and the best wifi protocols allowing for really fast wifi speeds for those with high-end routers. Plus its Video CODECS output really high bit rate and do a great job even with HD content on 4K tv's

6:37 picture quality should be mentioned here. The picture quality while watching on the Apple TV is so much better then watching it on my standard Amazon FireTV or any other streaming device. I get the full experience of my Amazon Omni TV I bought.

I also have an Omni fire tv with the Apple TV plugged into. It’s like I get the best of both worlds with live package updates still appearing as a lower third on the screen!

Iam about to buy a new 4k one. Is 32 gig a good size for most? Or should I get the 64 gig ? I have KZfaq tv.

I have both. The 32 has been fine so far. If you can swing the 64, I would go with it. At minimum, you’d be future proofing yourself a little, as you can’t upgrade the storage.

I appreciate it! And there’s a few ways a content creators make revenue from a video like this. (Without inserting a sponsorship from another company) ad revenue directly from KZfaq and affiliate links to sites like Amazon where if viewers purchase one the creators earn a small commission. Apple is such a large company I think only the MKBHD’s of the world are the only ones doing direct deals/affiliate marketing with. (Possibly)

If you have an iPhone, it will prompt your phone to type the title in on it.

I love mine, I just wish there was a better way to watch movies I have ripped (I own then) and are stored on my iMac .. I use the “Computers” app on the Apple TV but it doesn’t show unwatched shows on the icon on the home page.

I dont want to pay any streaming. I need to know if I can plug an amplifier and if the audio output is decent and if I can connect an external hard disk with flac files I have downloaded from the web. I dont want to connect it to a TV or watch TV.

This is a feature set that would onboard many of us non-ATV owners - audiophile features… …ridiculous that apple ignores audiophile functionality in the ATV, embarrassingly so. No reason why it can’t run off DC either, that AC PSU on such a simple piece of hardware is stupid - mac minis are efficient enough now they could have DC in

@vr4892 Oh. Your talking about Apple TV+, which is something different and separate from The Apple TV. You don’t have to have an Apple TV to have AppleTv+ and vice versa. But you are correct, Apple TV+ does not have more content than Netflix. Instead, they went the route of quality over quantity. The show quality is similar to what you get/expect out of HBO/Max. Also, if you have an Apple One or Premiere plan, it’s included

2 big disadvantages: -No optical output. If you have an older, but high-end receiver without hdmi input you need some kind of converter to enjoy digital sound. Former Apple TV`s had opticla output -no USB input. You can`t connect any external drive (pendrive, externals SSD/HDD). MAC systems (iMAC, MAcbooks) have USB inputs, so this is not impossible

Get a modern AV receiver, or a TV set with an optical connection. We have, after all, the year 2024. From when is your receiver? 1977?

@@wakeupcall2665 Why throw out a perfectly good receiver just to have hdmi. Also for stereo amplifier you might not need hdmi at all. The very first hdmi capable receivers showed up first in 2007, so not that long time ago. Changing receivers every 3 years is not the best for the environment.

It’s moved to the basement now as we’ve finished it and made it into a studio. But yes, it was two 6 inch mounting screws into a solid wood mantel.

Hello, very nice video, at first I thought your channel was way bigger. It will get bigger, but I would like to tell you some things you could do/make better so you succeed. 1. Make better logo. If you know graphics design you can make it yourself, or you can invest into your channel and hire a graphics designer. Your channel will look more professional. Also, hire a graphics designer for thumbnails, make them more clickable and interesting. Combined with better logo you will get more traffic. I would recommend getting rid of 4k in the name, but it shouldnt make much difference. 2. You talk too monotone. Try to talk more interesting, I really like the speed of you talking, its perfect, but dont be too monotone, you need people not to loose interest and keep them hooked into your video. 3. Get rid of flashy old looking transitions. 4. Invest into lights and lighting overall. It seems that you use good camera, but you dont get the most out of it. Search for "camera settings light" on KZfaq and you will see how to light a scene, you can make it way better. I hope I helped you and I'll love to see your future videos!

I started screaming at your video when you said that there were no ads. The entire UI is basically an ad for Apple TV+, which I tried and do not like. I own a huge library of movies purchased from the iTunes Store and the content I own and want to watch is given one row of thumbnails in the TV app while the entire top portion of that page is a stream of ads for different Apple TV+ shows. The UI is awful for the way I use my Apple TV 4K.

Set to TOP SHELF and NEXT in settings. I have never seen an ad other than related to a specific app, like Apple TV+ or Netflix, but they only show new content that might be interesting for you. Only in-App like KZfaq you get real ads.
