For anyone wondering, Two Lines is a game about a guy who killed himself when he found out his lover was pregnant. He's now stuck in a never ending loop, either hell or purgatory. The "Two Lines" refers to the two lines on the pregnancy test

The ward feels like a weird game about stress and an abusive family. Maybe that's why the pig calls the person "sweetcheeks".

for anyone who doesn't know, "two lines" means positive on a pregnancy test or pregnant and sadly it also means two lines down the wrists symbolizing death and or suicide.

The characters in the last game represent an empty family: An abusive father (pig, cigs and a bite, eyes in the back of his head), a grandfather on his deathbed (no limbs, just sits and watches anything regardless of having no eyes with a bunch of other disabled elderly people), a drug addict sibling or uncle maybe (shakes uncontrollably, speaks familiarly yet distantly, needs to be 'plugged in', which ends up being his death), and an abusive mother (all mouth, passive aggressive, 'It was only a matter of time'). Pretty crazy game honestly.

Matt Reeves is really a phenomenal developer. The sense of absolute dread, terror, and disorientation in both Two Lines and NEMESES is just insane. Ive gotten kinda desensitized to the scary games Mark plays but even after multiple watches i still get so scared watching him play Matt Reeves games

The fact that Mark said "Are you the dude from death note?" Straight after I said "Ryuk is that you?" 👁👄👁

*"Nothing is watching you, nothing is behind you"* I Never Felt so Uncomfortable Taking a Sh*t on the toilet in my whole Life.

Two lines is one of the simplest games Mark has played and yet one of the best. This is noth because it happens in the familiar environment of a city with your opponent probably being a human and because unlike most games he has played, the threat appears in the beginning rather than jumping on you at some point later, and through the whole gameplay you see him at several instances and you constantly know that he is still after you.

Mark: *starts talking about how death is inevitable* Me: when did this become Unus Annus?

Two Lines was made quickly for a game jam. According to the creator, the story is a bit rushed for this reason. I do not have his explanation of the story on hand but it goes something like: 1. Protagonist plans a business trip, but then cancels it. (Briefcase and cancelled plane ticket on floor.) 2. Protagonist consequently catches his wife sleeping with another man and kills them both. (Two dead bodies in bed.) 3. Protagonist realizes wife was pregnant. (Test in bathroom. Two For Life.) 4. Protagonist cannot be sure whether wife was pregnant with his baby or the other guy's. 5. Protagonist commits suicide by cutting wrists. (Bloody razor in bathroom. Two For Death.) 6. Protagonist enters torture loop as self-inflicted punishment for his sins. ("You deserve this", etc.) The game is heavily based on Silent Hill. Mr. Bird plays the role of Pyramid Head (i.e. the guilty part of the protagonist's ego hunting him down), and if you read the street signs, they are the same street layout as in the original Silent Hill.

I think The Ward's blend of horror and comedy was actually quite refreshing

Me: *reads beginning and doesn't understand the innuendo* Mark: "It's unsettling how all these buildings are connected by this red bridge* Me: *realises what this game is about*

Mark: "there is nothing behind you" My Hallucination standing behind me: "Am i a joke?"

Mark: "nothing is standing behind you..." Me: *is sitting in a train station* *is genuinely scared because there are many people behind me*

Mark: "Nothing is standing behind you" Me: "I mean, I'm leaning on a wall. If anything is standing behind me, it must be quite uncomfortable."

Mark while playing these games: I must ponder the insignificance of humanity

"Nothing is lurking in your closet." Me, literally living in a room, that's supposed to be a closet: "(✧~✧) Doubt."

Two lines is about a man who just find out that his wife is cheating and also pregnant. He murdered her and her lover and then cut his wrists. Running away from a monster to wake up in a bath again is his punishment for what he did. Two lines for life = pregnancy test, two lines for death = two cuts on a wrist

Mark: Starts game that isnt skyrim Pig man: Hey you, you're finally awake

Mark: laughs at jumpscare also mark: gets scared by it 99% of the time

"There is nothing standing behind you" Turn around to see me dog standing in the doorway staring at me

I think that last game has something to do with familial figures being abusive, and how they can feel/appear to their children.

Mark: Nothing is stalking you. You're safe inside your home. *My sister watching me from the crack in my door* 👁👄👁

Two lines had the architecture like high rise invasion

Mark: *walks into random room full of dead babies* "Ta-" Supposably dead baby: "TA PHUK!?" Mark "That's what I was gonna s-" Supposably dead baby: "just put me on the damn couch"

Mark: “your safe...... inside your home” Me: *sad homeless noises*

The level design of two lines was really cool. I just love the feel of a bunch of weird entertwining pathways mixed up with the silent hill aesthetic

I love how in the second game the creator more then likely just got his son or nephew to make scary faces while he took photos just to put them in the game

Man exmortis was the first horror I've ever played 😂 memories. And it scared tf out of me at the time, I found it around maybe 2010 or so? I can't remember but I was in junior high, and finally beat it in high school 😂

As weird as the last game is, I feel like it's a representation of an abusive family. Maybe it's a child you're playing as considering how there's a "dad" and a "mom" and the others I guess are siblings? But the reason it's all weird and scary is because that's what the child sees. All the tasks they're getting you to do is putting stress on the kid and that's why he sees life that way. I don't know I could be completely wrong but that's just my interpretation towards it.

I absolutely loved the first one. It perfectly captures the vibe of being chased in a dream. Reminds me of a half-abandoned building near my friend's house that we explore sometimes.

It’s hard to realize that I grew up with mark now, that a friend suggested him to me in grade school and now I’m entering college. The fact that his smile and positivity got me through my hard times when no one else could, the fact that I wouldn’t be the man I was if it was not for his influence and how he motivated me to continue school and make something of myself. To live instead of die, I was at that low in my life and he just pulled me through it, thank you so much mark. Thank you for becoming the motivator to not only me but several others

Cube escape is a puzzle game that follows a man named dale vandermeer.He is trying to find out about the murder of some woman.also it’s very scary and creepy

That 3 lines game was really neat! A dreamscape type of feel to it. My mind kinda blew up once I realized that where he was was in hell, and the end of the trail was where he killed himself. I knew that this game was going to be a loop, going back to the beginning. I love the symbolism and realization this game gives me!

You know what's funny is that I actually watch Mark's scary videos to feel safe. He has a comforting voice and the games aren't very realistic but I actually feel like I'm being watched any other time.

Cube Escape is actually an awesome game series! It's also quite old, it was a large part of my childhood. I'd love to see you play the Cube Escape/Rusty Lake collection sometime!

The last game, “The Ward” is probably the weirdest and most unsettling game I’ve seen on any “Scary Game” format/ type of video. Just my personal opinion though.

The start scares me more than the fact I am keeping a random strangers key that I found in a forest 🤣
