At first, I couldn't hit anything yet the guy who killed me was using the same weapon. After a day or 3 on the shooting range, there's not much point trying to shoot long range because of the scope wobble. Some of the guns will even have wobble on hipfire. Usually it's long range while short range guns can wobble on hipfire too. Shooting Range is almost fun until you realize no 2 guns in the same class will have the same targets

You just need to play more and get used to it that's all

@@JealousFist I have played off and on for about 1 1/2 years I have 350 encounters with 45 kills 😂😂😂 my last 1/2 year I have actually just started picking up my kill rate. But this video really kinda helped. I have quite a bit done on my base. I just really suck at combat.

Biggest thing with combat in this game is tuning your controller settings and sensitivities. Spend TIME in the firing range. You want to be able to spin around 180 degrees INSTANTLY and smoothly with the flick of your thumb hit without your crosshairs overshooting. If you find yourself"waiting" for your reticle to get on target turn up your X and Y 3rd person Aim to it feels right as well.

Don't think about it like that. Everyone dies all the time in the game. Everyone. Myself included. As well as all the people everyone is scared of. If a guy kills you and you're upset about it have the mindset of, "I'll get him next time."

If you love this game the only way to play is Xbox unfortunately. PS has comms and such but the game itself isn't as stable as Xbox version and the players on PS are much less skilled. Vigor is best experienced on Xbox. I dunno your situation or anything but if you think you're gonna spend a bunch of your life playing Vigor you should get an Xbox and play the real thing.

I don't have a goal for weakly Airdrops,,I just play😆 I have close to 14,000 kills I think. Not totally sure.

Is there anything to know about when you hear a crow or a dog bark? Not the exit crows. is it telling me that someone's in the area because I've noticed that the crows will dive bomb you on grontheim and it always tells me that someone's there when I see them a little distance away from me bombing onto someone else

Same i'm either really lucky and can't die or extremely unlucky and die relentlessly. And some days I want to play but the luck isn't there, some days I don't even feel like playing but i'm winning so I grind it out

Same thing applies to there. Use the White slice to see the direction that the shots are coming from put something in between you and the shots. Once you're safe it's up to you to figure out in the situation because everything is different and specific. There's no quick and easy way to learn how to spot people it comes with playing a lot and paying attention. I wish I had some fancy trick to teach that kind of thing.

@@JealousFist Yeah if the attacker is patient and keeps his muzzle flashes down with camouflage you'd need multispectral imaging stuff to spot him, fat change in Vigor though :)

I know it doesn't feel like it right now but as you keep playing it does get easier to spot those guys. A quick tip on spotting people that are well hidden in camouflaged. A lot of times it is hard to see them but when they successfully ambush you and kill you remember where they got you from whenever you're in that spot in any other game in the future you'll know to check there. After a while that becomes habit and you start to develop a mind picture of where people hide.

Another good tactic if relatively closer and you can tell your opponent is no scrub and it’s kind of a Mexican standoff you can start sprinting away for just a split sec then turn back and chances are if he’s an experienced player he’ll hear that running away and it will be like the lion and antelope instinct kicks in That’s one reason I always carry a sawed off shotty. So versatile when someone is pushing towards you but misjudges depth and you can get him close enough and popping out with any other gun while they’re facing you is super risky even if just off a lucky headshot they get. But with shotty they’re toast and if first shot doesn’t kill they’ll stagger and second will and you can even miss your shot and still kill but worst case and they’re still on their feet you can whip out primary while they’re stumbling and hip fire a bit his way to finish off But if you practice you can get consistent 1 shot kills even at a longer range than you’d ever expect with sawed off. If you’re above them at angle range like doubles since there’s so much more surface area on head hit box for buck shot to hit on. Regular shotguns I love In encounters and shootout but I feel like they aren’t versatile enough for encounters But sawed off fits as sidearm so if you have plan it’s a no brainer on virtually every map. And indoors if someone pops out of a camping buddy hole and starts panic blasting you then you already got ol faithful in your hand to put him down. I feel like shotguns and tactics that involve forcing enemy to come into shotgun range aren’t used much and are unexpected and tend to work back all skill levels. Any thoughts on that fist? Or am I just lucky lol (I have to have at least 100-200 sawed off encounter kills this season though)

Yeah, that's a smart play I'd say. I agree with the reasoning on why you carry the sawed off as well. I myself was carrying it as a secondary for a couple of days and and did like it when the opportunity arose to use it. Personally for me and how I play I stopped using it though simply because I ended up deleting it more times than using it to loot a more expensive purple or yellow sidearm off of a kill. I've been going back and forth between a lot of backup weapons but I seem to always come back to the RAK. It's super effective at close ranges which are the ranges you generally need a backup weapon, it's full auto which is great cuz usually you're panicking by the time you need it. It's fairly lightweight and it's so dirt cheap and you get them for free out of crates that I have no bad feelings about throwing them away.

You talking about how it appears like there's two reticles the same time as I'm aiming around the corner? That second closer reticle is to show you that where I'm aiming would actually hit the corner instead of where the reticle is in the middle of the screen on the enemy. As to auto aim? There is aim assist in this game. I have mine turned off. I strongly recommend you turn yours off as well. If you watch my settings video you can see why I have aim assist of.f I explained it all there

I haven't ever tried DayZ and I hadn't really wanted to, not cuz it doesn't sound awesome it does it really tugs at me, because I was afraid it would draw me away from vigor. Nowadays I'm open to the idea of trying it though. I went to go download it and saw it was $30 so wasn't going to do it 😆

@JealousFist Are you on console or pc? If you're on xbox just do what I did and get game pass and it's free on that. They have a deal where it's a buck to try it out and if you were like me and have xbox live that was like 10-12$ a month but if you get gamepass it includes xbox live and is 15$ a month so it's crazy not too. But I guess it's a mute point if you're not on xbox but Dayz is definitely worth it to try out.

@TIG2MAN0 Oh! I am in no position to give advice for real world/real life gun fighting. I have not been in combat arms nor been in combat in real life. In actual war much of what I preach here would get you killed because of all the other guys on the other side in too many places. Not to mention their observation posts on ground and observers in the air and satellite as well as electronic sensing devices and countermeasures. In real life running and gunning around will get you dead super fast.

@@JealousFist how you move and take cover is real. But yea the rest of the game mechanics would get everyone killed and having 8 battle royal isnt realistic.
