Can you explain the New York style compression 2.0 and why you pick that plug-in chain please? That was awesome and I’ve not seen it before

YO! So, I call it "2.0" because it's basically the same principle, but then adding on a whole gang of plugins to really shape the parallell channel. I put on different stuff every time and just try out, and since it's in parallell there are literally no rules. Except I always highpass the lows to avoid rumble or mud from low freq harmonics, especially when experimenting with saturation/ distortion plugins. But, phasers, flangers, reverbs, Izotopes vocal synth and so on, anything that alters and destroys the signal would be fine to try out. It's one of my favorite activites when mixing, and one of the last things I do in the process. One love my man🙌💯
