In this episode I address my families daily driver, the top dog in the Maserati line up well if you have kids and need to transport more than two people. Our Maserati Quattroporte GTS now officially has 30,000 miles. This 190MPH sedan manages to make you poop your pants and fall asleep all in the same road trip. The point of this series is show you what happens when you put more than 3 miles on a luxury/exotic car cause lets be honest people don't drive these cars so no one knows what to expect when you do.
Enjoy!
Thanks for all your support so far. Your comments, views, and likes light a fire under my ass to always improve and bring you these videos.

I own a Maserati, and to be honest I have a few gripes to all those that keep complaining about the same blah, blah, blah things. It’s always the same sh!+ “the buttons are from a Chrysler”, “the infotainment is the UConnect with a Maserati logo”. Are you people serious? Do you know that they use VW parts in a Bugatti??? What’s wrong with people. Let’s get some fresh new things to pick apart. Also, who buys a Maserati and complains about gas!!!!!!!!

Sergio Rodrigues yep i agree with you so much, but maybe the people that complain about them, maybe can’t afford an used one, who know and cares. And yes maybe you shouldn’t get an car like this to complain, I have an cla45. 2015, and there’s things that I can complain about. But there simple things.. enjoy your car. It’s going to be my Next one, if I can get away from my Benz.. lol.

By the way the infotainment rocks “UConnect, works excellent with no lag, and my power windows also work perfect thanks to the Chrysler parts. Thank you for staying this and I agree with you. I am not paying for buttons. Paying for Ferrari/Maserati performance and feel. I’ve had three Ghibli’s, one Gran Turismo, and looking for a Quattroporte GTS after watching these KZfaq reviews. A detuned 488 sounds good for my soul.

I just traded my 2015 BMW 750Li for a 2019 Maserati Quattroporte. Before that, I leased 3 Mercedes Benz E classes. I really really enjoyed the 7 series, but the Quattroporte is my favorite of all time. I could see myself putting 60,000 to 70,000 miles and then trading it in for another Quattroporte. When I test drove it, the pick-up and the engine's sound sold me on the car quick. This is a car you can enjoy driving with the radio off.

Great video with good information. You are right about the manufacturers - they make the less expensive models look like the more expensive ones ... Mercedes being one of the majors culprits of this trend. They take the status away. I have an 2015 SL which I love and nothing else looks like it but it definitely has its negative points. The Maserati is beautiful but I worry about the repairs - there just are not that many dealerships to have it repaired if traveling. The same problem with Jaguars - beautiful automobiles but out on the road if something goes wrong - you can be stuck.

Thank you for your informative and entertaining review. We have to lift our hats to the Italians. They put some waves into the german dominated sea of luxury sedans. Yes, the guys north of the Alps build the best cars, but maybe that isn't the issue. You really pick this car over others because it is different. Yes, you spent a lot of money, but if the statement that you make is not quite enough for you since thousands of other fairly wealthy people do the same thing, then you have to consider other ways to tell the world that you are not the guy to follow everybody else. So I guess the sales figures of the Maserati Quattroporte always reflected the amount of people who want a luxury car but still feel the need to separate themselves from the boring and conservative crowd. In this regard the car doesn't need to be as perfect as the germans, not even close. As you said, it just needs to put a smile on your face as often as possible, and that the Italians can do.

5:34 to 7:33 Maserati has been owned by FIAT since 1993. From 1988-2016 FIAT had owned 90% of stakes in Ferrari. In 1997-2005 FIAT had sold 50% of it's share of Maserati to Ferrari. In 2014, FIAT became FCA, so that's why you have some Dodge and Chrysler parts out of a bin that's already being made, cutting cost significantly to the company. Only thing I can find on a quick search was that only thing Ferrari about the cars are the engines. I checked out and cross reference a few Maserati cars from Ferrari, turns out the transmission in Maserati is from a German company called ZF, which also makes transmissions for like BMW, Audi, Jaguar, and Rolls-Royce. I'm gonna assume they're not gonna use Ferrari paint for the calipers and just use paint FCA already has on hand instead of having to pay Ferrari to use their special paint

I own a QP, One thing you must acknowledge that you are paying $120K for a Ferrari designed engine, Amazing exhaust, Crazy transmission performance and EXCLUSIVITY. Nobody pays $120K for seats, door panels and a dash with a wheel. Think about those old school PORCHE, shitty as carpet interior and still sold for $100K+. Just my 2 cent.. Oh, and as for the seat going back when you turn off the engine, I CARE enough about my passengers to TURN OFF this feature. You simply have it on, but it is optional. As for your alarm, if you leave a window or sunroof open you have to turn off the sensor to avoid it going off. (With your key fob) Read your manual if you haven't already.

I'm looking at purchasing a 2014 GTS. I'm looking for owners who already own at least a 2014 or similar up to a 2016 since they're all the same between those years with only minor changes until 2017. I just need some pointers on repair costs, enjoyability, and just generally what you know about the car.
@EliasSreyes
@EliasSreyes 4 жыл бұрын
@@ironman98 here are my thoughts brother. I own a 2016 QP and I love that damn car. LOL. anyways, Reliability? I honestly believe that people that have issues with theses cars are people that don't drive them enough. these engines are meant to be driven and NOT sitting in the driveway. hint why mileage is always so low. Use the damn thing and keep that engine running and serviced. The maintenance cost? its only crazy if you take it to the Ferrari/Maserati service dealers, BUT if they only sale or service Maserati's the rates are much cheaper. But the truth is you can service this car yourself bro. I'm not a mechanic in any way shape of form (i'm a suit guy) but Oil change, Brakes, FILTERS, Sparkplugs can all be done from home, with a few tools enough common sense to follow KZfaq videos. It is really no different than your average BMW / Chevy or Honda. REALLY, no bullshit. Its just about buying the right parts. An oil change out here in the bay area is $650, but you can get it done yourself for $150, The Full service is $2,400 which you can get done for $500 on a nice day off. Etc etc.. The car drives like a dream, it fast, its classy, luxurious and sporty and my favorite... Very exclusive. Find one with the lower mileage possible and service it yourself REGARDLESS of what they tell you. Get new oil, Change the plugs, change basic filters and MOST IMPORTANT clean those injectors. Lots of "Gunk" gets stuck in there due to high performance engine that cause issues If you don't keep them clean. (Only issue I had) Engine started running very rough and then learned of this and never had an issue since then. I was told the car was simply not driven enough the weeks prior. dealer charges you $500 for this service (Yes, its that common) but you can get it done with $20 worth of cleaners and a couple of hours. I hope this helps your decision. this purchase is one of those things YOU WONT REGRET. Find low mileage, Service FIRST, follow maintance schedule and keep the car running and on the road. Oh, AND get as many of the feature you cant live without. You wont enjoy it if you keep wishing it had this or that, or if it was this color or that color. Etc etc. Good luck brother. Let me know if I can help in any way. My name is Elias

Iron Man98 I understand where you’re coming from when it comes down to buying such an expensive car, I wanted to know everything that I could possibly know about Maserati and each brand of car so what got me kind of hook to begin with was The Gibley Ginobili and I Collett that for a reason it’s a beautiful looking car it has power but it should not look like that the cost of those cars for 20142016 $20,000-$30,000 makes my Quattro porte GTS look like a cheap car play it’s not it’s fun no a couple bad things about the car the brake caliber was faded I got lucky and Maserati did a new paint job on it now they’re beautiful. The other down part is depends on how you drive your car if you drive your car or you’re constantly peeling out and slamming on that gas pedal which is a very fun but I could actually cost somebody the registration for my 2016 is about $1400 a year in California the oil change is about $700 per year or 12,000 miles tires depending on what you buy and what brand the tires I have on my car 315/25/R 22 those tires range anywhere from $250 to 550 so ranges for any new tire $700-$2200 just for tires next insurance is going to jump up to about $300 just for that car it’s because of how expensive it is to fix the car Maserati had to put a brand new bumper on the rear of my car $9000-$10,000 that includes the pain and everything else so when it comes down to this car it seems like there’s a lot more negative it cost because there is . It’s a high-end exotic car not as high as Ferrari Lamborghini but it is a high-end car it has a Ferrari engine in it but I will tell you this I love my GTS I love everything about it I love the Phil I love the twerk I love the horsepower I love the look I love the rims and tires and sound and everything else I decided to go with the GTS because I do have a family I got three boys and my wife so with that being said I couldn’t go with the Gran Turismo like I wanted because there’s no room in the backseat that Ginobili has no room in the backseat you’re all squished so I went with a GTS because the GTS is pure comfort throughout the car unless you’re 7 foot tall dude or woman or he she. You will fit just fine back there and be comfortable not to mention all back windows have a sunvisor that goes up in my 2016 the sound is incredible sounds like I have a small system in my car and that’s comparing it to my SUV that has a Bose system in it I’ll take the system in this car over the Bose system much louder much more bass now with that being said I would not give up my car. I have a few friends that asked me why I bought it it took me three years to finally buy a Maserati and all my friends are business people they’re only looking for the next team that they can invest in to build their secondary third fourth income that way if anything ever happens we have multiple incomes and they would ask me why did I do it and I told them. You just have to get into it Dryvit fill it for yourself so last weekend he decided to go on the Touro app and rent a Maserati but he drove the 2014 Gibley and he was surprised about how it felt the power it had been a fun car how much you wanna step on the pedal and just go because you know you can I’ve been 170 miles an hour in this car perfectly fine rip the ground like no tomorrow you can feel the difference and that’s switch for the power you can feel the difference in that button or switch for the suspension hugs that ground if you have to go around something. 530 hp behind your hands increase horsepower and torque with the Pedal Commander increase horsepower and torque and sound by doing a resonator delete I’m putting in cross pipe there’s much of other stuff you could do but you’re talking about very expensive parts when you drive down the road people want to know who’s in your car I texted him all my windows including the windshield it cost about $600-$700 to do the nano ceramic tent 50% tax on the windshield my wife already got it. 30% on the driver and passenger and 5% of AR nano ceramic window tape on the rear and all through the car I didn’t wanna make my window tent that dark because the darker it is the more you’re going to get pulled over I still want to people to be able to see who it was Kinda in the car but not be able to see completely now with that being said the positive stuff that you could do to the car just makes it that more enjoyable. Is it worth $700 for an oil change not really is it worth 1400 for the tags not really but is it worth knowing that you have all the speed in your hand and hardly anyone on the freeway could touch you absolutely like I said I won’t give up my car. I sold my Yamaha are one because my wife gave me a choice I could buy the Maserati or get rid of the bike I said bye to the bike and I go and buy another one later on but that’s not the point the point is I’m not gonna give up my car and in a few short years I’ll probably Going to upgrade to a new Maserati I hope that helps you and if you have any other questions go ahead and respond

He ran out of ways and means to cut this car down . Truth is, the car is a bad ass machine. When you drive this machine, it’s like a four door Ferrari. Comparing it to Chrysler is an absolute disrespect to the style and design of this sex machine. Chrysler would wish on a falling star to hit them in the ass to get lucky enough to engineer one like this.He should have gotten a hellcat or whatever to match the personality. What a fucked up review.

Panamera is worse for rear leg room. 2013 and earlier Maseratis are worse.

Poor gay guy is trying to do car review. If you not 60 years old you can buy this car with soft closing option!!! Some don’t need it! You’re not allowed to buy this car if you thinking about fuel consumption😂

Maserati is an overpriced shit. The quality to price ratio is ridiculous. Cadillac and ford are far better than this crap.
