THE #1 thing I noticed about Lone Star Grillz are the *welds.* On all of their videos, the welds seem like they were done by a machine instead of a human. Very well done.

Just ordered mine...can't wait :D. I've been debating back and forth on "real" smokers for years. Once I saw yours I finally decided it was time to pull the trigger.

How does adding water to the cook chamber affect airflow, tuning plates etc? Do you remove the plates if you add water? Which is better for keeping even temps across the garages?

Adding water doesn't effect the plates or air flow at all it goes in the very bottom and will make clean up easier, it acts as a heat sink holding temps more stable, and adds a little humidity to the cooker helping keep food from drying out as much during the cook.

If you add the warming oven is the unit capable of running the main chamber and warming oven at the same temperatures at the same time? Say 225° to 250°?

Yes with the dampers closed in the warming oven (no smoke) then the temps will average about the same. If you want to smoke in both chambers you can but temps in the warming oven will always be higher.

It should, most pork butts ive seen arent more than 6 inches thick.

Does anyone here own this grill? I just ordered mine and it’s coming around May/June 2022. It’s late February 2022 at the time of this comment. Does it apply smoke flavor as effectively as their cylindrical smokers? And advantages or disadvantages with cabinet vs cylindrical? These are very expensive, I want to make sure I’m getting the best smoker for my money. Mine costs $7000 with options and shipping.
