Never mind. Answered my own question. Tritons are the same bottom, heads, and cams but have a different intake to build more low end torque for trucks rather than hp for cars. None of that really matters if you plan on pulling it all apart and putting your own stuff on it though.

I'm underwhelmed! Nice video and sorta OK power but this video should be titled "How Not to build a 4.6L Motor". Why such a harsh commentary on a nice guy building a budget motor for his car? 0. No lead in comments such as: this is my rebuild on my 4.6L SOHC 1999 Romeo motor 1. No checking of main clearances on crank (Plastigauge is cheap) 2. Re-use of substandard Ford main bearing bolts vs. ARP bolts/studs 3. No torque measurement on crankshaft rotation with installed crank and torqued main bolts. 4. Stock 4.6L Ford has a 3.552 bore/buy a real piston ring compressor and stop whining 5. Even if you are to cheap to buy the right tools to measure rod bearing clearances properly, you can spend less than $10 on Plastigauge and avoid melting your rods into your crank "cause you didn't think that bearing clearance was important and should be measured. 6. I'm not sure who sold you that "Marvelous Billet Aluminum Black Anondized Tool", but you wer had! What a worthless POS. My old school steel C-frame valve tool works on 2V/3
@RatchetstrapMedia
@RatchetstrapMedia 2 жыл бұрын
Dude, you’re annoying lol. I did plastigauge everything. Even the cams. Not everything was filmed. Why would I use arp main bolts? This engine is virtually stock with cams. I build engines for a living, and use the piston ring compressor on a daily basis. I measured every clearance on that engine. Even cam journal. That valve spring tool was so convenient. Lighten up. More people will like you.
