My Guntar the mag- nifficent, yes I named it. 300 win mag. One shot one kill everytime. Its my baby. I trust it and take good care. 4 Moose 7 dear over the last 8 years. I skin, gut and process. NWT bush girl. Very grateful for my way of life and a good practical rifle. My Vortex scope is amazing. Had a 270 with a flip scope on that, it was super accurate but my 300 is wonderful ❤

i love my 300 win mag. but ive been hunting with my 500 mag smith and its quite a bit more satisfying

A 180 interlock pushed in a 300wm is magic on anything in North America.

Head shots and high shoulder don’t count. The sound track is horrible and every shot sounds the same

New to the .300 win mag. I’ve always wanted one, and recently purchased a Bergara premier Highlander. I started as a kid with a 30.06 using 165 gr. Centurion Sporter (sporterized Mauser k98). Rifle season starts next week. I know accuracy trumps brand, but what grain would you say is best for whitetail deer? I live in eastern NC, so the deer aren’t massive. A 200lbs buck is a real nice one weight wise. I see a lot of people favor 180 gr for the .300. Thanks in advance.
