AFFILIATE LINK DISCLOSURE: Friends, making a quality Loloho video is kind of like making sausage - only slightly more violent. It's a ridiculous amount of work that typically involves high dollar camera drops, blue-screen-of-death computer crashes, and at least one angry shotgun wielding old man shouting, “Hey! Get the hell outta here!” Once the final video is posted, rewards here on KZfaq are few and far between (unless you are a masochist who enjoys being verbally abused by anonymous trolls). One saving grace is our affiliate links. JUST CLICKING THESE LINKS HELPS TO SUPPORT OUR LITTLE SHOW. Think of this clicking as like tipping - except that it doesn't cost you anything extra! If you eventually make a purchase via one of our affiliate links, we will receive a few pennies (and Sean typically invests these pennies in duct tape and video gear). Again, it doesn't cost you anything to click these links, and it's a great help to us. As always, safe travels, happy camping, and THANK YOU!

Just as a FYI. MAX Peeding Rods, is manufactured by Dinking Power / Genmax. They also make several generators for other companies. The new 145cc 164F engine has been getting excellent reviews and proving to be a contender for compact suitcase generators. The size of the Honda eu2200i but with more power. The pulsar 4000 is the same unit but in gas and a dual fuel version, the genmax 3500 is also the same. Im a dual fuel man myself. But these are impressive units. Funny video, always enjoy LoLoHo…👍🏼

My 2500 watt Champion just couldn’t run my RV air conditioner even with a soft start installed. Along with my residential refrigerator. Bought this same generator and ran it during a boondocking stay in Florida last month. Totally impressed with it! Sure glad to see your review and endorsement. I’ve learned so much from your videos over the years Sean. Appreciate your efforts to contribute honest reviews to the RV community.

We added a soft start to our ac also, hoping to only need one of the Yamaha 2200 generators. It started and ran the ac at home....but on the road with the fridge running, one just wouldn't do it. So, we have two Yamaha's but sure didn't want to haul both. We may consider this one as it's light enough for me to handle and has more wattage!

i like my older honda eu3000. it is paid for. i installed auto start. and a extended full system. auto start is great. can turn it on from inside my rv. and not worry about the furl level with a five gallon + the factory fuel supply. all hard mounted to my rv so it can not walk away. and a hard cover for bad weather. also acts like a second layer for sound. then a exhaust piping that go two feet above my rv roof so no fumes or gasses to worry about. or gag on.

I'm checking into the dual fuel generators because I don't like carrying gasoline. Do you have experience with them at higher altitudes---say over 7,000 feet? We live in Colorado and often are at 8-10,000 feet and have heard that the propane doesn't work well with that altitude.

Yes, the quietest generator I ever heard was a Honda 3000u (I think that's what it's called) being used by Parks Canada. I was 5 feet away and didn't even know it was running. All these companies that use 21 or 23 feet as the reference point do that because they know they can't come close to the Honda. Edit: Even the Honda 2000i is too loud for me.

As a small engine mechanic, my only concern for anything like that is repairability. I have a pile of the no brand, two cycle snd the CHEAP ones out back that are SCRAP because they are not worth repairing, period. Cheaper does NOT mean better when it comes to future repairs. I have a 20 year old Honda portable that still runs like new. I can buy parts for it all day long. Even some of the old Coleman and Craftsman generators are still repairable compared to the ones I have in that pile.
@LongLongHoneymoon
@LongLongHoneymoon 2 ай бұрын
Yes, that has always been my concern when approaching "no name" brands. I also wonder what kind of customer service (and parts availability) will exist in the future if and when things go wrong. There are definitely tradeoffs, and when you pay more for one of the major brands you are also buying into that warranty and customer support experience. With that said, we have had problems with both our Yamaha and Champion generators that were only fixed when we opened the cases ourselves and did the work in our own garage. With any of these generators, it helps tremendously if you are able to diagnose and repair on your own.

That's a nice generator for the price if it lasts and they support it. But, I think people need to be reminded that buying something like that to chase a low price is a gamble. You don't have any idea how long it will last and if parts will be available when and if you need them. Rolling the dice and hoping is one way to go. If hope doesn't work out and you need a $3.00 part for that 3 years from now which can't be found anywhere your actual cost will be at least double. That's because because you'll be buying another one to replace it.
@LongLongHoneymoon
@LongLongHoneymoon 2 ай бұрын
Yes, I mentioned something along these lines towards the end of the video. That is one reason that I am often hesitant to recommend brands that I don’t know. Overall, I think it is a great deal, but with the caveat that I don’t know much about this company and their long-term customer support. I did make one miss statement in the video, and that concerns the warranty, it appears that the warranty is two years, not one year. Depending on how people look at it, it may be worth the gamble to pick up this low-cost generator, considering the value for the price. We received a few comments from other owners, and so far everyone who has commented has been pleased with their unit.

Nice job with the custom music to fit the generator review. I suppose the small fuel team would be a drawback. I have the Predator 3500 Inverter Generator from Harbor Freight that I purchased new six years ago at Harbor Freight Tools. It's been great, and parts are readily available from their customer service team. I can't believe you found a generator that is that small and light with a 3500 W starting power rating. How long will it run with 1.2 gallons of gas in Eco mode? I would rarely use it for an AC but mostly to recharge my batteries.

We got one two years ago and it has been working well so far. We have used it in all kinds of weather from cold and snowing to warm and rain. It has enough power to power our trailers AC unit without any issues. Like I said so far so good.

@ a certain point price has to be a consideration. Hell buy two and only use 1 and if it ever dies you have a back up and you still have an extra $300 plus tax to keep you warm.

Interesting. I wish I knew about this before I bought a Predator 3500 that weighs 98 lbs dry weight. I do need a generator to run the RV A/C. The Predator does that fine. I would have liked to see you hook it up to your travel trailer. But I guess I'm not buying another generator soon, not until the Predator dies.

Very interesting inverter generator but I was thinking that if you could connect 2 for 6000 watts and it only has 1.1 gallon capacity for gasoline why not make a auxiliary fuel tank for it say 5 gallons. Ed in Partlow Virginia.

I just bought a new generator that is completely identical to this one but it is a: Pulsar 4000W Super Quiet Inverter Gasoline Powered Generator with Recoil Start and CO Shutdown, PGD40ISCO. It is the same identical generator but it comes with a 3 year warranty and cost me $471.00

I want to know the vertical height of this generator. I have a tractor supply metal box bolted to a bumper hitch carrier on the back of my van and it is only 18 or 19 inches tall inside and my champion 2000w inverter generator barely fits in it. I like my champion 2000 but it doesn't like my air fryer. It will run it but you can tell it's stressing! Seems like I buy a generator every year or 2 at this point but every time I find the "perfect one" I find something better. I'll probably keep my champion though because powers whatever I need and it hasn't failed me yet!

How long would you think it would last a 25ft Airsream running an AC unit before refilling with gas? Just an estimate?

Great review and a good refresher on the warning labels. Could do without the AI generated "musik" though.... I'd rather listen to an open frame generator.

I've been looking at small generators for a while and have yet to make a purchase. One thing I don't see in most reviews is how good is the companies support? Can you get parts? This particular generator has 8% one star reviews and 15% 3 stars or below. It also looks to be sold under other brands such as Pulsar, GenMax and AIVolt. The company that makes these is not the same as the company selling/branding them which is a red flag.

It appears to be a good product, but time will tell I suppose. We have had our Yamaha 2400 for 14 years now and it's still going strong. With that one year warranty on this orange generator, I wonder if it will still be blowing and going 14 years from now? Thank you for the overview! Happy trails.

Yes, I agree that part of what you are expecting from the more expensive brands is better longevity. We have had excellent experience overall with Yamaha. But I have to say that our Champion has also held up quite well. But typically, with the blue and red brands, you get superior noise performance.
