331 - Narrowboater DIDN'T Want to SHARE The LOCK WITH US! A Long Old Cruise to Thurmaston

Well today we set off from our mooring in Kegworth where we had spent almost a week at. To catch up and to cure my itchy feet, we're cruising 15 miles today and a LOT of locks to Thurmaston, and because we currently have 2 cars we're able to drop one car ahead to Thurmaston and then once we get there we're go and pick the other one up. This cruise took a lot longer than expected due to some hold ups such as a lone cruiser that was ahead of us filling the lock even through he saw us coming, and we could have shared the lock.

Mr and Mrs Taylor you have done an amazing job on raising your young son he has turned out very well and wow his talent and his ingenuity in solving the carpentry issues and niggles which beset him - you as parents should be rightly so proud of yourselves for the amazing job you have done in raising your son Well done and relieved to hear the mammogram and ultrasound were all clear but please do go back and have a second glance just to be absolutely certain please that the results remain clear

@@darkmatterxi watching your vlogs on higher than expected winds and quite the chop as you ventured into the sea toward boston scared me as olive is an older boat and has in fairness been besieged by issues which will has helped you try to overcome so seeing you risk the wash as a former live aboard canal boater and ex live aboard river shamnon {Ireland} brat - having the pre requisite skippering training having had to given a river raising and harbours there's no way i would have had m.v scallywag out on the wash even if she was still in existence afloat - no chance nor nb buffalo not happening when or if i manage to return to a life afloat as is my dearest wish - i would only do so on a sea worthy sea going vessel such as a nordhavn trawler type yacht which is just about able for rough seas

Sooooooo thankful that the lump is nothing to worry about. And, bless your parents to not have to face a second child with cancer. I am with Andy…..I break out in a sweat when I have to have blood taken, or an IV inserted. Beautiful cruise…..looks like Summer there….we are just moving into green and flowers here in the Rocky Mountains.

Lovely cruise again. Hope you managed to sell the car. It was good of that guy to wait for you at the next lock. Paul & Ant had their new boat on show at Crick this year. Lovely boat as well. I know Will had a look around it.

Yes Paul and Ants boat does look lovely but personally I preferred the colour of the other one. We caught up with them and met Paul what a lovely chap he is. 😊

Hi Taylors, Interesting watch has normal. Just to let you know pots placed on my narrowboat. Picked to large front flower pot has now have duck nest with 5 eggs. No cruising for me. Never mind will get small planter replacement once baby duck have goneXx

Oh that's lovely not about the one duckling that has gone but I bet it's wonderful watching them hatch out. This is why I love this life all of the wonderful wildlife we see everyday 😊
