Colin like the Bank Holiday May of 2018 the Bank Holiday of May 2019 was dry tho a bit of warm and chill. I notice the parachute flag read The Army and as I missed that 4 set HST I saw it Friday 3rd May 2019. Speaking to Matthew on the phone Saturday night May 4th 2019 I was saying how 34052 did a wheel slip and and used the relief line and it's because on how fast the new Hitachi 800 to go fast. BR No. 34046 SR No. 21C146 Named Braunton Builder Brighton When built November 1946 Withdrawn October 1965 Rebuilt February 1959 Current location of preserved locomotives Mainline Certified, Home base Southall Notes C, WC/NA Operational, Mainline Certified. Owned by JeremY Hosking, operated by Locomotive Services Ltd. Currently disguised as sister 34052 Lord Dowding.

Llanwern west jctwas being replaced, all trains reversing at Severn tunnel jct to go via east jct into Llanwern

Hi James, they should not give any locos new temp identities, it is a childish stupid situation, a loco is what it is, you can not make it another loco unless it is recreated in a new build. we had 34046 Braunton & 34052 Lord Dowding both on the Southern from 1963, 34046 being withdrawn during Oct 1965 and 34052 being withdrawn at the end of Southern steam early 1967.

Back in the day when steam locomotives went in for a major overhaul they got stripped down completely anyway. I'll bet there's not much left of the original Flying Scotsman left on it after 90 years as it's all worn out & replaced over time, plus the recent rebuild & overhaul of course. They were never meant to last as long as they have being built as big working pieces of kit to do a job of work. Scrap them, melt it all down and then build some more. I agree I can't see the point of changing the name to a locomotive that was scrapped decades ago though.

YES THE OWNERS ARE STUPID FOOLS AND SHOULD RETURN 34052 LORD DOWDING IMMEDIATELY TO CORRECT ORIGINAL NAME AND NO 34046 BRAUNTON, OR THE OWNERS BANNED BY NETWORK RAIL AND ALL PRESERVED RAILWAY LINE OWNERS FROM RUNNING ANYWHERE AND FINED HEAVILY.
