After seeing ur few videos on this. On & off pavement with the 35s. I just did the same thing last weekend. 35x12.50 on my JL Rubicon 2 door. Gas mileage dropped for few days expectedly. Once I calibrated the speedometer and trans. Gas mileage came up. Not to mention the 35s on it made a much better look.

I was going to go down a similar path to with bigger tires the 35’s and bigger wheels and a 2 inch lift kit, but decided not to because for me my rubicon is still very capable as she sits .Only upgrade I did was add a winch to me is a must especially if you are off-road and by yourself on the trail . Please keep your rubicon videos coming as i always like them. I did dickey bell which is a badge of honor trail in S.C with my rubicon and got my badge of honor for doing it

You’re right about how capable they are 100% stock. What I like about these tires is that they really don’t require a lift. Just throw them on there and they look like it was supposed to come that way from the factory haha. And I’ll have to look into that trail I haven’t heard of it before 👍🏻 Thanks for watching!

Glad I could help dude! Ride quality got a little better over smaller chatter on the road. As far as towing I haven’t done much towing with the 35’s. The most I ever towed with stock tires was about 1300-1500lbs and it had no issues.

Concur with all for 2021 2Dr Rubi with AT, 35” Nittos and -6 & 4.5” ICON Rebound wheels. Street ride is smoother than with stock BFG 33’s. No noticeable difference in starting out thanks to EcoBoost mini-hybrid system that was required with AT on 3.6. That combo minimizes fuel mph penalty in stop-start driving and AT compensates seamlessly when accelerating at higher speeds. One reason besides cost for not going true beadlock wheels was big sprung weight penalty and I remain convinced that decision made sense. Didn’t bother with Speedo recal since difference in tire diameters is only worth 1-2 mph. 37’s would’ve needed 2” lift to look proportional. Assume that lift affects mpg more than anything else.

Great video. I'm just about to pull the trigger on 315/70/r17 KO2s (113S C rated) and also keeping my stock wheels for my 2021 JLR 2 Door. Did you need to add spacers when you went up to 35s? Also, did you need to re-gear or did they adjust the tire rotations to match the mph? Mine is also a stick-shift so I'm wondering what is necessary and your channel has been great since you have the same vehicle! Thanks!

It’s really hard to say. I think if you want more pep then re-gearing is probably the best and cheapest option. That way it’ll accelerate a little better. Other than that then maybe a intake, exhaust, and tune. But I don’t think I’d put an exhaust on my Jeep haha Thanks for watching!

I drive up and down 3,000' over 60 miles 3+ times a week on I-17 in Arizona and I average 21.2 mpg on stock tires with the 6-speed in my 2021 2-door JLR. Actually average higher city mpg (24 ish) than highway (75 mph) likely because of the brick factor. Either way, the fuel economy is better than when I did this same drive in my old XJ, so I'm happy! Really interested in 35s (with no lift) when my factory set wear out!

Actually the opposite. BFG recommends 45PSI compared to 37PSI on the stock 33’s. I actually aired them up to 50PSI for a road trip to Utah I just got back from and there was even tread wear on an 18 hour drive each way.

@@drivenmad2089 Just wanted to follow up that I did upgrade to the BFG 315 70R17. After chalk test seems 33lbs is the happy place for even tread wear. Took a few takes of course to get there. Big difference is that I have a 2019 JLUR, lots of armor, steel bumpers, winch and hi-lift mounted. Maybe all that weight is why my pressure is so much lower for daily driving. Not sure as not any kind of expert, but I can draw a chalk line😉

Honestly, these JL Rubicons are complete, there is no need whatsoever to modify these one iota. Perfect stock lift with 33" ko2's. MT's might be necessary for more challenging off roading, but for most, not necessary, as this stock Rubicon is an absolute off road animal. I met a couple with this that was stock and it was fun to wheel with them. I told them what they had and how unnecessary it would be to modify it. They had the steel Rubicon bumper with the ends removed, making it much better off road and it looks a thousand times better, a total badass rig! They know what they have and won't be modifying it. I joked with them and said, my '05 TJ Rocky Mtn is just as capable, only I'm at least $35k under what they paid, but at least they are wise enough to realize they never have to spend a dime on suspension mods. My '05 is done build wise but thinking of getting ARB lockers and MT's for more challenging trails. Then I'll be d🤔ne. O|||||||O 🇺🇸 Only in a 2 Dr 🇺🇸 '41 - '06
