In the video entitled 'Fred Eichler takes an antelope at 133 yards with a Taurus .357 Revolver', the guy with just an iron sight fired a 158 gr Hornady Custom XTP 357 mag bullet that went completely through an adult antelope at more than 130 yards and killed it. . The pistol 9mm bullet is significantly weaker than the strong 357 mag bullets, and yet in the videos 'How Far Will a 9mm Kill? ' and ' How Far Will a 9mm Kill? Part 2 ' guys on the range show that according to the old US military standard even a 124 gr 9mm pistol bullet fired from a short rifle can kill at a distance of 440 yards. A stronger 158 gr 357 magnum bullet, such as a Buffalo Bore or PPU fired from a 24 inch long barrel can produce a velocity of up to 2083 fps and an average energy of 1489.9 ft lbs (can be seen in the video ' Chronograph testing 357 magnum - Hornady, Underwood, and Buffalo Bore ammunition').

you could have done the same by exchanging the guns why are there wider levers for reloading? for example on this model ROSSI PUMA TRIPLE BLACK rifle Cal. 44 Magnum What exact model did you use? great comparison Congratulations to you ! ♥

Looks like you guys are having a fun day. I have a R92 44 Mag with the 16" barrel in s/s, it sure is a fun gun to shoot. Rossi rifles are very popular here in western Canada.

Thanks for the comment!! Do you mean 357/38 as the lever action in 357 does both? Cheers mate!

Suggestion: place the target camera on another platform so that it doesn’t get disturbed by the shooters’ actions. Keep up the lever gun shootouts! I have a Marlin 1894S, JM, in .44 Magnum, plus three Winchesters: a .3030, and a couple of 9422M’s in .22 Magnum, of which one is an XTR variant. I love my lever guns, and plan on continuing to buy some more...a lot more!

I noticed in the first video you paid $1000.00 for your lever guns any idea what the exchange would be for Australian dollars. I purchased the Henry Big Boy in .357 for about $900.00. I have a Rossi in .22 lr. Great little rifle I paid about $160 for it . How do you like the quality and accuracy? I suggest Skinner sights I have them on my Marlin I can hit 100 yards consistently. Much better than buck horn sights. I have a scope for it too but I don't hunt anymore so I can hit 200 yards even further. But I'm not going to shoot it past 100 yards on a regular basis. I will use it for something else . I'm a disabled veteran but self sufficient 30 years in the United States Army almost twenty in the Ranger Regiment I retired in 2010 so it's hard to walk sometimes. Great video thank you. By the way is that your property or public land ?

Holy Mosis, your the first veteran to send us a message! I know we are Australian but we definitely appreciate everything people like you do for there respective countries. So thank you very much! We paid a $1000 each for those Puma Rossi's. So that is roughly $760 US if not cheaper. We definitely like the quality of the Puma's. We have got the 100 yards soughted out but working on the distances after that. Thank you for the comment and thanks for watching and stay safe!

@@aussiegunners01 Really nice rifles well worth the money. On several occasions I or we trained with Australian Troops all good. I'm done buying rifles. I sold most of my pistols. I live in a suburb of NYC. New York State makes everything difficult with hand guns. I have 18 months left on a commitment then I will move to a different State. My wife of 34 passed away September 2018 at 54 years old nothing keeping me here except the house. My kids are grown hopefully they will come with me. My youngest daughter will be a Registered Nurse in about a year. I want her to get on her feet or come with me. There's a shortage and they make crazy $$$ right out of school The whole country is a giant mess now. I hope things turn around. Thanks for writing back . I wish you well. Keep the videos going. Can you get black powder revolvers or guns in general? They are not very expensive and here they mail them to your home in most states a good topic for videos no paper work required as far as the government. Just a thought. Sorry for going off topic and rambling on. Try Dixie gun work's they have nice stuff. I got two revolvers and a rifle kit from them. They are a lot of fun. There are a lot of video's on KZfaq.
