you can simply soak the bamboo skewers in water (20-30 mins, you can do it before you prepare the meats and veggies) to prevent burning ! i reckon its easier than wrapping tinfoil around each segment of exposed bamboo

Everything looks GORGEOUS! I think the sandwiches were my favorite, but I appreciated the details of the others: the leaf silhouette in the spring rolls, the baby's breath cauliflower, and the Snoopy rice balls and tamagoyaki. Well done! (Also, you should try to plant the mini cabbages (6:00). Maybe they will grow full-size ones, which will save you money.)

Another wonderful bento, Hanako-san! Lately my mother has been trying to garden again. I say trying because she often will get started, then forget to water her plants and we live where the summers are long and hot. You can imagine how that works out. Yesterday I spent over an hour repotting flowers she bought to make pretty mixed pots for her, and mulching all of the flowers and the vegetable plants she has started so they don't dry out as fast between waterings, so maybe she'll be able to keep her plants alive longer this time!

Made me laugh you saying about the damaged avocado, it all ends up in the same place. Exactly what my family says! “Over the teeth and round the gums, look out belly here it comes!” (Not sure if it translates well) Glad you had special time with your niece. I can't decide which one is my favorite bento everything looks so delicious 😩💖 to prevent my bamboo skewers from burning I would soak them in water for at least an hour before cooking, because I dont feel like tearing and wrapping aluminum foils 😅😅

The cauliflower was amazing! I've never seen any looking like that before either. Did it taste just like ordinary cauliflower? I'd love to try some now!! In the UK, it's currently Easter weekend. Everyone has the day off work today and most will have another day off tomorrow (though some shops do still open on Easter Monday). My parents bought me a Lindt chocolate bunny as a present but I'm not used to eating so much chocolate so it'll take me months to finish!! XD

Thank you for the videos. I always enjoy them. I still think it must be incredibly difficult to eat such a big, fat, tall sandwich. I would love to actually see it eaten during the video. I like to have a bite of the bread and filling at the same time, and with a gigantic sandwich you can only nibble around the edges unless you just grossly stuff it into your mouth, so I do not understand most of the sandwiches I see on Asian type cooking segments. Oh, well. Just my opinion and curiosity, not a criticism. Thank you again. Your videos are always well done and I really like the cute comments you make on screen.
